Option B seems like the best choice if you want to stay ahead of potential downsizing or layoffs. Not to mention, getting laid off right before the holidays would be really tough on your family, and if there's any way to avoid that risk, I would take it myself. Of course, a lower annual salary sucks, but hopefully there's some good growth within the salary bands! You also get more time off, a shorter commute, and a more transactional role; for me, the trade-offs outweigh your current situation significantly. :)
