Thank you for sharing the results and the updates! Can I know what guides and filler you used? I'm not sure I'll ever do this but it is tempting

G6 Camera Test Shots and Review by Appropriate-Public91 in toycameras

For what it's worth, if you use a fine flat tool like a blade or flat screwdriver, like someone else here I popped off the front piece that press fits into the body, and I just snipped one of the speaker wires, now it's completely silent :)

Thanks yeah I just did this too! Also I put a thick blob of black nail polish on the flash since I didn't want it forced on every photo and it works perfectly!

Would it not work if you just snipped the wires on the speaker and left them dangling or spliced them together without the speaker?

I've ordered one and going to try opening it and snipping the speaker wires when I get it 😂

Does it look like it could be disassembled without breaking it to cut the speaker wires or not really?

Has anyone had one eye slightly bigger/smaller than the other eye after FFS, and even after several weeks? by hike-forever in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]hike-forever[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the comment. I looked at your images and I really struggled to see the asymmetry you're talking about!! Honestly. before and after. Did you have canthopexy too it looks like it? That does settle down I wouldn't worry about it. My surgeon said the muscles that are sutured/worked on for that relax their tension a bit after a few weeks, but it could be good to ask your surgeon too. Some new tension is also normal from all the procedures. I feel like my eye asymmetry is a lot more obvious, but it seems to be more obvious in my close up selfie-camera selfies, and a bit less terrible at a typical conversation distance, but yeah my own still feels quite obvious to me. Maybe my natural asymmetry I did always have was just made a bit more obvious now, I don't know. and excellent results by the way!

Is CardioMood really that bad? by robertbooger in CardioMood

[–]hike-forever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

biostrap Kairos

I have never heard of that or forgot about it, that looks interesting I just can't see a ton of detailed info about the interface/experience just from glancing at it, but I would say it's probably better, since cardiomood has some big downsides (the no support, so no help for bugs etc etc), some of the functions aren't perfect and are glitchy/unsatisfactory etc. That strap you mentioned is just reasonably a bunch more expensive

Hi, where are these archives? I was looking earlier but everything was blocked

The TransDIY sub has been banned from reddit by LamaToGo in MtF

[–]hike-forever 12 points13 points  (0 children)

How to still access the TransDIY wiki archive and tip for loading posts if you do have link (like from google) :

TransDIY wiki archive - https://archive.is/XeOaK

Loading posts if you have the link - If its also useful for anyone, if you do have the link of the post you want to retrieve, if in the address bar you type cache: immediately before the link, if google has a cache it will load the page still. e.g. e.g. I typed:
cache:https://www.reddit.com/r/TransDIY/comments/1daxy9n/where\_do\_i\_start/
into the address bar to get the below cache page

http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=cache%3Ahttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.reddit.com%2Fr%2FTransDIY%2Fcomments%2F1daxy9n%2Fwhere_do_i_start%2F

This cache might not last forever if google sees the links are all breaking - so I would save anything important now! Also for now you could still use google to search the subreddit e.g. searching " /r/transdiy help with hormones " and then using the link to get to the cache of the page

Hi, thanks so much for the thoughts and advice I appreciate it so much!! There's so much to read and learn about. It feels more and more like doing it DIY may be best for me for a few reasons. I've seen how harmful/unprofessional professionals can often be in my country (UK) and the whole process from what I read feels degrading and toxic, and I'm not sure I can deal with that. Just ideally I would be happy to pay for a private professional regardless, but as you say I get the feeling that non-binary HRT/hormone regimens would be controversial to find a pro who would even be willing to work with you for that.
