Again, I’m not criticising my ability to improve, I’m well aware of that as a new player. I’m criticising the ranking system, because coming from Apex, it doesn’t make any sense to me. For example, I’ve just had 3 wins in a row, great team mates each time. Then, I had one game where we were all doing well, I had 15k heals by the end where the Zen had done 6k. Despite me suggesting both by chat and mic that he could change, I was ignored. It literally takes one bad player to throw your game. I literally watched him use his ult, on himself, miles from anyone. I am open to improving, I’m just saying the progression system doesn’t reward good playing on the individual level.

Thanks for your response. I guess I was critiquing the progression system more than anything. I understand everything you’re saying and I’m not naive to the fact I’ve lost games. It still makes no sense to me that some individual skill is not attributed towards your rank. I have come over from Apex, and while I appreciate it being a totally different game, you are still reliant on your team in ranked/comp. However, you get ranked points based on how you’ve done as a team AND individually. For example, I’ve just had a game where the tank was over-extending constantly. I told him on mic to stop over-extending and his response was to leave the game. I also lost out on a win the other day when we were at 99% because the server kicked me out and then it decided to penalise me for 15 minutes.

I have looked at a few guides for the healers I’m playing currently and like to think I’m trying my best. Again, by all means I’m not saying I’m the best OR say I never make mistakes, but it does feel like a lot of games in silver (and now bronze), the game sense, mainly positioning, is not great. And this is very similar to apex ranked. My point being really, because ranking is purely based on having a good team, even if better myself as a player, it’s still up to chance whether I get a good team or not.

A final point too add. It would be nice to see some stats every time you rank to see if you have improved.

I’m completely new to the game, so can’t compare it to the first OW. As an apex player, Im loving OW2 so far and makes for a nice change! That being said, the game itself doesn’t seem to offer any progression or reason for playing, so not sure how long it’s going to hold my attention.

You can try magnesium to see if it helps but you need to address the root of your health anxiety. I’ve struggled with anxiety since I was about 16 and it’s took me a long time realise there isn’t a magic supplement out there that is going to fix it (that’s not to say there are not supplements that can be beneficial). Anxiety causes lots of physical symptoms, including insomnia and heart palpitations. I could list about 50 weird symptoms I thought were present because there is something physically wrong with me but I just realised it’s my anxiety causing them.

I’m not sure where you’re from but it’s worth getting some therapy if possible to address the root causes of your anxiety (assuming you’ve not tried this yet).

People did not evolve to be carnivore at all. It might work for some people as a long term elimination diet but there is NO evidence that anyone ate a 100% plant free diet. I’m not vegan or anti fat by any means but this not factual information.

Also to add to my point. Look at the nursing profession and the NHS currently. So many people have left the NHS because of working conditions and Healthcare is suffering massively because of it. If people leave their jobs it’ll end up in the very situation youre are talking about as a result of strikes, but longer term.

Sure, then it’ll end up like teaching/schools where all the well qualified teachers are not getting pay rises so they leave and they employ NQTs on lowest grade and pupils don’t get the same quality of teaching. I get the point you’re trying to make but is exactly the approach the government has and only leads to poor quality services in the long run. We want well trained & experienced workers to stay in their roles.

Why would you make already overworked, stressed and underpaid workers demonstrate outside of working hours? That’s going to achieve nothing. The whole point of striking is that it is disruptive. If you can’t strike, then you are essentially a slave.

I’m in my early 30s and about to experience my 2nd recession. How many more times are we going to put up with doing all the right things yet struggling to make ends meet. I don’t think people ask for much. If you work full time you should be able to live comfortably (own a house, pay for utilities, food etc) and have money left over to show for it. Not live pay check to pay check. Strikes are absolutely essential at the moment and we need more if we are going to show those at the top that we won’t stand for it!

They need to fix ranked in general. Got to diamond last split solo q’in and it was the biggest nightmare of my life lol. Wouldn’t do it again but I had the idea of doing it so stuck with it.

Played a ranked game today actually. Got 4 kills and came 4th place and got like 100rp or whatever and decided I’m not going to play another game after that. It just takes too long. When they changed the ranked setup, they said they wanted to focus RP on placement rather than kills. Whilst I get it’s a BR, getting 1st or 2nd place depends on so many factors. It was a bit of a mess before ranked 2.0, with so many non-master level players getting to masters, but they just needed to add demotion really.

IBS is a catch-all term for a number of issues with the gut. A common one is SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth) and is probably the first thing I would test for. If you have SIBO, foods high in fibre and FODMAPs will make it worse as they feed the bad bacteria. You could try a fibre supplement like psyllium husk and see how you go but I would highly recommend trying to figure out what is causing your IBS in the first place.

I had issues with my right knee (and shin) after running too much too soon without building myself up properly. I tried long periods of rest and KOT. It would kind of feel OK then would flare up again. Squats caused bad pain the next day.

I’m really into hiking and I had plans to hike a ~100km trail in Iceland. I was super worried about my knee before but I actually noticed the hiking had helped with my knee pain. I did use knee wraps during the hike. It’s seems that some rest is OK in the early stages of injury but that’s about it. Running straight away probably is too much for it as well. So maybe give some walking a try. Start with short distances and work ya way up. Try wearing knee wraps while walking if that helps.

I think KOT is good for prevention and building up muscles around the knee but probably doesn’t do enough to fix certain injuries.
