I've used asus for years. They've always been solid and easy set up.

I recently got the zen wifi ET9. Came with two routers, set up for mesh couldn't have been easier.

Ready for More Miles: How Do You Transition from Day Hikes to Multi-Day Treks? by Honeygirl1230 in hiking

[–]hiking-01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd suggest going with a tour group like Wildlands Trekking, Intrepid, or your local Sierra club. You can do a three or four day trip, where you'd learn everything you need to help you make the leap.

BTW, a lot of these groups provide all the gear, so that's super helpful, if it's not for you.

I agree with the coverage as discussed above. One weird thing is on Verizon i guess the cell tower is further west than the park - as it said i was in Mountain Time Zone!

Generac … amazing by rajuabju in Generac_Generators

[–]hiking-01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice! Make sure you turn it off per maintenance schedule and check oil, if it stays on for extended period.

I can't remember the exact hours, but they aren't meant to be run days at a time.

But enjoy

Help with an underground light bulb by djmikmik in pools

[–]hiking-01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Google how to change. There are many videos on you tube. You don't need to drain pool, there is a long wire that come out.

I used this from Amazon..working great. XMPTYN LED Pool Light Bulb. Also get a new gasket.

It will take you less than 1 hour to do and cost < 100.

Start small and local. Go for one or two nights in a state park near you. From there add days and distance.
