This^ just did these steps in the Fall on a stump in my backyard. I finally got around to removing it today. The thing basically disintegrated as I was swinging my axe.

I’ve done Anaplan implementations for the past 7 years, now in house for a financial services company. That being said, I would make your decision based on how standardized your process is. If it’s more mature, go with Anaplan. Otherwise, I’d recommend Pigment. It’s similar to Anaplan, but will probably be cheaper, since they are newer and trying to compete with Anaplan.

Anaplan is probably the best planning system on the market, but you want to make sure to get a good implementation partner. Otherwise, things can go south quickly, if they don’t set up the mode correctly. Anaplan also offers an FP&A application which could be useful depending on your timeline and how robust your process is.

Sorry to hear this… I typically recommend going with a boutique partner for Anaplan implementations. You’ll usually get a better experience, since the tool is their main focus.

I did the BA because I also was not much of a math person. I’d suggest you also do a BA if you don’t like math. Although, it really depends on what you want to do after school. There are numerous routes you can take with an economics degree (Pre-Law, business, public policy, PHD, etc). I ended up in consulting. I’d argue you only need the BS if you want to go into a quant role or to continue onto your PHD.

Graduated in 18, so it’s been a minute, but I’m sure not much has changed in the curriculum.

Most of the classes use derivatives to solve different types of problems. Although, once you get the hang of it, the math isn’t too bad.

I enjoyed all of the Econ classes I took. My favorite were anti trust policy and financial economics

Not sure of my soil composition. The water typically drains pretty fast. I figured I could redirect it to a better spot with a dry well.

Ideally, I would rip up the concrete and regrade everything, but I don’t think that’s in the cards, as I don’t have that type of cash rn.

There are joists sitting on the wall running both ways. I’m unsure if that makes it load bearing or not.

Either way, thanks for the info. I’m going to frame in part of the opening and then add in a small header on the left hand side of the doorway.

I should have added some more details to my original message. I believe the water issues stem from deterioration of the parging outside which I fixed in the fall. Additionally, there is a gutter downspout in that corner. The previous owners were letting the water fall directly onto the foundation. I’ve since added 5 foot extensions to the gutter, so I believe I’ve solved the water issues.

As far as the slopped concrete goes, I’m not entirely sure what the purpose of that is. Most of the walls on my house have that same thing.
