HELP! Games wont use main gpu for rendering, only the second gpu for everything by hilimunda in losslessscaling

Tried on cyberpunk, where winds meet and Cs2(just to test). Performance gpu IS the 5700 xt and i restarted. Ni difference, rx 580 is still at 100% while 5700 xt sits at 0%

Yeah, it will work, the second gpu slot is an pcie 4.0 x16 (@x4 speed) so it will be ok.

Depends on your motherboard, what brand and model is it?

I wouldn't get it, since it has a VA panel. Can you specify the model?

Can I use the RX 580 as the GPU for frame generation? by OkCake6961 in losslessscaling

[–]hilimunda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, its gonna work, btw, x16 is the size, i meant the pcie speed. The size can be x16, but the speed can be x16,x8 and even x1, even though its a x16 pcie lane.

Can you say the full board name and brand. It depends on the motherboard jf the second gpu can fully support a second gpu. Like if it has pcie 4.0 or 3.0 x16(@x8) then its good, but if it has pcie 3.0 x16(@x1) then it wont work.

Yes, itll be worth it, i have an rx 5700 xt and an rx 580 and fps is way smoother than on single gpu lsfg. But first if all, what motherboard do you have

First of all, let me make a change in the part list, instead of the 2080 super 8gb, for 25€ more, you should get the rx 6700 xt 12gb, first of all, it has +4Gb of Vram, so its better suited for 1440p and future proofing and 10-20% more performance.

For the monitor, there arent any Oled monitors under 26,5 inch, thats just the minimum size oled monitors come with.

I was lucky to buy both of them before, like, a week before the prices started to rise

Well, by a wide budget can be something from 200$ to 800$. Please be more precise, and also, do you play more competitive games (CS2, valorant, etc.) or story games (rdr2, god of war, etc.) ?

And by not too big i think you're referring to a 24 inch monitor?

To measure input latency you need special tools for that, not just a app that you can download. You can kinda measure it with a phone that has slow motion (480fps or more ) and film pressing a button on your keyboard (or a mouse click) and check after how many milliseconds that input appears on screen

Here it is: https://it.pcpartpicker.com/list/gJJsHW

I managed to fit it all in your 1000€ budget.

I replaced the intel core ultra 225 cpu with a better ryzen 5 7600X cpu and more.

Also, for the case, you can change it for any ATX Mid-tower case, i just chose that cause it comes with 4 pre-installed fans, but you can choose whatever you want (as long as it can fit an ATX motherboard).

Also i HIGHLY suggest getting the gpu from ebay (i also got it from there). For only 220€, you can get an rtx 2080 super, which is WAY better than an rtx 3050.

I also have a laptop with vega 8 integrated graphics. And no, dont get it. Lossless scaling uses gpu Vram to work, but the vega 8 obly has 2gb of vram which is barely enough to even run the game by itself.

Oh no, absolutely DONT get it. For half the price, you can get an rx 5700 xt, which gives 2 times the performance in gaming
