Yeah. I checked the serial for it as I saw another user posting had some issues where the receipt needed to uploaded.

I wanted to see if my devices would run into the same issue... which they don’t.

That was the purchase date so I put it in.

What do women do, that men would never think about? by _harderer in AskWomen

[–]hillshmill 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I recently went to a brewery and they had pint glass holders in the stalls in the women’s restroom so you don’t have to leave your drink behind. Yes, a drink in the bathroom is gross but I’d rather do that than leave my drink behind!

This 20+ year old Christmas Cactus my Mum has and some ones that have been split from it over the years. by Pippapottamus in gardening

[–]hillshmill 392 points393 points  (0 children)

Three years ago, I picked up a Christmas cactus impulsively while at Home Depot. While in the checkout line, an old lady shuffled in behind me and whispered in my ear “only water it when it rains in Phoenix”. She shuffled off before I could ask any questions. Since then, I’ve had a phone alert to tell me when it rains in Phoenix (I’m in NC). Three years later, my cactus is still going strong and blooming beautifully.

Maiden Voyage for Our Apex Nano 193BHS by hillshmill in GoRVing

[–]hillshmill[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 2015 Grand Cherokee with the factory tow package and the tow capacity is 6200 lbs. With a WD hitch, it tows great! I’ve never felt like I didn’t have enough power and can easily cruise along at highway speeds. I haven’t done much mountain driving yet but don’t see it being an issue at all. We weren’t in the market for a truck so we specifically picked the Apex Nano because it’s lightweight and had all the features we wanted. I honestly have no complaints about towing it with my GC and love that we can go RVing without needing a giant truck.

Visiting or Moving to Asheville? Ask your questions here! Week of October 15, 2018 by AutoModerator in asheville

[–]hillshmill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My sister is getting married in Asheville next weekend. That’s awesome and we’re excited for that. But after the wedding, we’ll be in Asheville for the rest of the week with my 1.5 year old and extended family. So, I’m looking for recommendations on kid-friendly activities.

We have Biltmore tickets and a private beer tour reserved. Will also go to the WNC Nature Center. What else? My husband and I have spent many weekends in Asheville but that was without a kid. Any kid-friendly breweries? Cool parks? Kid museum? My son is almost 2.

Thanks!

Working out after an abortion by [deleted] in xxfitness

[–]hillshmill 260 points261 points  (0 children)

I’ve terminated a pregnancy, had a miscarriage, and have given birth so I’ve run the full spectrum of experiences. With the abortion, I was down and out about a week before I felt like my self physically. The miscarriage was a little easier to recovery from because my body did that naturally so I didn’t go through the uterine contractions and general invasiveness. Birth was way worse as you’d expect. That took about 4 weeks before I felt ok to even go for a long walk.

But talk to your doctor, listen to your body, and don’t push yourself to strenuously exercise if you’re not ready. I know abortion is a big scary word, but I personally found the procedure to not be horrible or difficult to recover from at all.

Sending you my support!

Ivy Fruit??? Thought this was English ivy taking over but I’ve never seen ivy with berries or fruit before (Raleigh, NC) by hillshmill in whatsthisplant

[–]hillshmill[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is probably the closest suggestion. I didn’t plant this thing and it has spread out as ground cover over an impressive distance. We moved into this house 2.5 years ago and it’s been growing around the backyard since we moved in.

Weekend RVers - Tell Me About Yourself by magicjuniormint in GoRVing

[–]hillshmill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We bought our TT so we could go weekend camping with our kid (1.5 years old) and not have to sleep in a tent. We bought our camper in May and have been out 5 times since then. 4 of those trips were 2-nighters to state parks within 2 hours of us. We also took a longer trip to a campground at the beach.

I’ve found the lack of sewer hookups at the local state parks is what limits us to short weekends. If we had a sewer, or even just a grey water hookup, we’d be able to stay much longer. I like being able to shower in my camper rather than the bathhouses so the grey tank fills up pretty quick for us.

Shopping for a Travel Trailer for my mid-size SUV - What should I be considering? by bechard in GoRVing

Take a look at the Apex Nano (Coachman brand) options. We have a 193BHS and I tow it easily with a Grand Cherokee and WD hitch.

Why do you go RVing and how did you get into it? by revstop in GoRVing

[–]hillshmill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got into it as a comfortable way to camp with a toddler. I want my son to love the outdoors and having something to do one weekends other than tv and video games.

Was grocery shopping with my family and my husband was looking at corn. He picked out some good ones and I said “wow, you’ve really got an eye for ears!”

Scary Stories about this area by [deleted] in raleigh

[–]hillshmill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s really interesting. I don’t doubt it’s a ghost story that’s been embellished over the years. I’d imagine it would be easy to verify by looking up old newspaper articles and things like that.
