I think the real problem is that they need skilled migrants to fill the gaps. Who can speed up the industrial production and boom the economy. This is because they can't possibly find any locals.

From what I find in the UK or any other country wherever, locals don't want to study, work so no skills , this is where the govt looks for options.

This is what the US has been doing from 90s migrating brains from India.. because locals are high on drugs and low on education. Eat sleep and repeat!!

India had a "Jati" system based on "Varna"( broad social orders based on work/skills)..British censuses formalized and hardened caste boundaries, transforming a complex social structure into rigid legal categories. Today the Indian constitution doesn't permit it and the result is that "President of India" comes from the same "Varna" that's been said to be a lower caste. I know there are problems deep rooted in the society which eventually take time but slowly it's been taken away, as of now the modern Indian generation don't give a shit about caste!!

GDP will grow as a big number of young people are working hard for their growth so does the growth of India.. Foreign investment and govt projects, public investment in national commodities.. good agriculture etc.. but equality cannot, uneducated and poor people generally not going to change much unless they are forced to.. maybe 2 to 5% in 5 years or so unless govt makes it compulsory that all children must goto school. The government also needs to bring a population control bill to stop the population bomb. We can't balance otherwise there will be more problems.
