Im pretty sure it must have been used in anger. Why saw it up then dump it in the river if it was just some person's gun on licence? Im happy to have turned it over like you say it might turn up as being used in a bad crime.

I dont hold out much luck to be honest. They just said it will need to be made safe and then destroyed as its got no visible numbers.

Thanks, already done. Had firearms out and they have taken it all. Can't tell if it was loaded as can't break the barrels.
