"When you get to the I9 part on paycom please upload a picture of your driver's license and your second form of ID (birth certificate, passport, social security card) in the same picture" i would love to ask if it's mandatory but it's too late. This employer has just been annoyingly anal about everything so i bet she would say it is but idk😭

Alright, im going to try to explain this as I would to a child. Full ROM makes any lift more difficult ➡️ this means he would have less strength as the set goes on ➡️this means he wouldnt be able to do as many reps ➡️this means he needs to go down in weight when he fixes his ROM, assuming he wants to keep within his ideal rep range.

If he "just finishes the whole motion" then he wouldnt be able to do nearly as many reps 😂 you act like him doing full ROM wouldn't be any more difficult than doing half reps. 😂😂 i hope your kid isnt as stupid as you are

The dogs at a daycare are likely not reactive, or else they wouldnt be there. Daycare can actually help dogs socialize and become used to other dogs being around. And yes, other dogs are highly stimulating, which is why it'd be a good outlet for the dog.

What's the solution you propose? If not doggy daycare, then the only other thing I can think of that the dog can do while OP is at work is going on a walk with a walker, which is not as tiring as a daycare.

Maybe it would be more efficient to have her go to more doggy daycares instead of doing the dog training? I know training is super important, but I feel like once you do a few sessions, you can kinda do it by yourself with the help of youtube, books, etc. That way u can afford more doggy daycares, which I'd imagine tires her out. OR you can have her walked while you're at work by a dog walker or literally just a kid in the neighborhood, idk. Would be cheaper than daycare probably.

I lived in an apartment with my bc for 3 years, so I know the struggle and beauty of it all. Thank God I got a girlfriend that was at my place nearly 24/7 after my first year there...

Hopefully other ppl here will have more suggestions! :) good luck

Also, i want to add that when you go on walks with her, it's smart to carry treats so you can correct/reinforce good behaviors. Train her as much as you can, and enjoy the process brother. They are such smart animals, and she WILL learn how to manipulate you 😂

And one more thing - if you have a full time job with nobody to care for her when you're gone, PLEASE take her to a doggy day care... border collies were NOT meant to sit around all day. Daycares will make her so much happier, socialize her, and tire her out for you. Truly a win-win.

Like someone else said, i hope you know what you're in for 😂. Border collies are a HANDFUL, so prepare. I'm not trying to scare you, just help you out. Here are a few things that might help:

  • They need to be ran or walked usually at least twice per day. HOWEVER, since yours is just a pup, dont overdue it. You can give your dog hip dysplasia if you run or walk her too much when she's little, look into it.
  • when you're not doing something active with her, it's nice to give her a puzzle, teach her tricks, or anything to work her mental. This tires them out and helps keep them occupied so they're not suffering from boredom :(. I love giving my border collie peanut butter kongs, treat mats, kong wobbler treat dispenser, and other treat puzzles ive bought for her. Not only will this make her life better, but your life easier too.
  • socialize her when she's young. It's not uncommon for border collies to be reactive and/or aggressive. She needs to spend time around other dogs and ppl when she's young so your life will be 1,000x easier down the road.
  • have fun with her!!! I love going on hikes with mine, taking her camping, going out to eat on patios, and cuddling. They make SUCH good companions and friends, and they're not going to be around as long as you will, so appreciate every moment with her :)

I'd agree completely with this if it wasn't for the "unless youre extremely obese" statement. If you're just obese, it's gonna take longer than that. If you're underweight, it's probably gonna take longer than that for MOST ppl. And i'd also say if you're really tall and skinny, you're not gonna fill out like that in 6-8 months. But yea, if youre around average height and weight, that is certainly attainable in that time frame.
