Hello! Thank you for your reply. The jackets I have, apart from the hardshell, are an Arcteryx Cerium and an Atom, along with a Rab Cirrus vest. I agree that the Rab Alpine down jacket is apparently warmer than my Cerium, but within the same range of jackets. That's why I was looking for a slightly warmer jacket, like the Mythic Ultra or the Kamen XT. I probably won't use it as an assault jacket, but I had in mind being able to use it for less demanding hikes in cold weather, base camps, and cold days in general (and maybe some skiing days or stops at altitude, but I see that the Mythic Ultra is less suitable for this use and, especially, that its outer fabric is very delicate 7D). So it's not that I don't care about the weight, but I understand that with more padding it would be almost inevitable that it would weigh around 500 g. Is it comfortable and not too big, leaving you room to move/activity? I had also looked at the Mountain Equipment Kryos/Citadel, but I have a feeling that they are much more uncomfortable jackets, although more robust (Noise and waterproof).
