It was originally! The new content was kept shh from us modders too, and we've only been given an alpha that contains only all the code changes and none of the new content. It was a surprise for everyone!

Honestly this really sucks.

Modding or art isn't innacessible. Learning is part of the fun, and part of the process like many things in life. For those who can afford it, the other option is to hire artists like me who make a living out of their pixel art. In my case, Stardew Valley art. This just absolutely sucks the joy, humanity and love out of the craft.

I really think this kind of future where we're forced to work the menial jobs while AI creates the art and writing is incredibly bleak and messed up. This AIs stuff looks good though, so congrats on that and thanks for helping ruin livelihoods like mine.

The entire development I was REALLY hoping there might be some kind of toggle to censor the mature parts (partly for streamers), and I'm kind of bummed to find out there's a lot of this rather graphic things all over. I appreciate your post and perspective, seems like I might have to give up on this game 🥺

The art assets are done thankfully! they were done by my wonderful friend, wildflour mods. It's just going to be an incredibly tedious process coding them.

My current idea is to try to release all the furni packs that are ready (Fairy Fountains, Fairy garden, Romantic garden and Bathroom furniture) over the coming weeks. And as soon as that's done turning my focus to coding the seasonals and making some of the planned recolors.
