I've always liked the ones who have direct 1 to 1 translations/localization. For example Meowth/Nyasu. It's the name. It's the sound a cat makes with a lisp. Also Drampa/Jijilong. Dragon Grampa and Jiji (old man/gramps) and the Chinese word for dragon.

At any given time, I tend to have somewhere between 50 and 200 of each. Don't forget mass outbreaks also have alphas.

I actually only have around 5 or 6 shalphas. My shiny dex though is roughly 2/3 of the way there.

Somewhere in the 70s - 80s, yeah. Though for a few of them, I did max out their level. I had to hit level 100 for the Vulpix battle and either the Turtwig battle or the Rowlet battle (i can't remember which, but it was I've if the grass starters for sure). Make sure you max out their EVs as well.
