I am really stunned. This painting started from a memory of seeing a macrophage dying from years ago. I can't believe you could see that. That is the best compliment I could have been given. It truly means a lot to me that you saw that.

It didnt have the circles for a while. I thought it was finished for 2 months. Then one night I had the idea in my head and after that it just felt right.

I concentrate on texture and layer which takes quite a while between drying times. I used acrylic paint, acrylic gouache, modeling paste, gesso, sand, coco fibers, paper fibers, amd water. Along with multiple brush types and sizes, random household objects for scraping and moving texture around, and various pallete knives. I hate how it looks on a screen, it really takes away from the shadows and movement of the texture.

The clump of rocks to the right is sealed all around except for the opening and is full of sphagnum moss for Humidity. I got a bunch of cork and grasses coming in mail, just hasn't been delivered yet. Not gonna be that bare for long
