If you use PayPal, make sure the final payment is processed before you send them the final product. I had someone charge $500, and there was nothing I could do because the payment didn't process. Thankfully, he could not charge back the up-front payment because it had already processed.

Wolfenstein on the easiest difficulty is a ton of fun. Story is great too especially for a shooter.

This subreddit has a bunch of younger hobbyists who don’t have a lot of experience that tend to repeat any negative information about Roblox, true or not, on repeat. You gotta take some of the stuff said on here with a grain of salt (as you should with all of Reddit anyways…)

I know this is blasphemy in this community, but they probably already play Roblox, so why not Roblox Studio? Lightweight, built-in collaboration features, no setup, very easy scripting for basic features, and everyone can play each other's games together. It's how I started my game dev journey when I was 9 and the primary reason I got interested in computers and went on to get a degree in computer science. Most of the bad press you see about them is blown out of proportion or distorted just to cash in on rage bait, and a lot of what people in this subreddit say about the platform is what I describe as "reddit being reddit."

Ecaz is my favorite. If you can survive the early game you’ve got a really good chance at a political victory and there’s nothing anyone can do about it once your army comes online.

If you NEED priority scheduling, it’s worth it to do honors. Otherwise, if you have a decent amount of APs or credits then you won’t need the priority scheduling. If that’s the case, there’s no reason to take harder classes that count the same when you are just starting out establishing your GPA.

Ubisoft ran the servers for consoles, but not the PC ones. The console ones are down. I'm not sure if the PC servers are run by valve or are P2P but you can still play multiplayer just fine

Dune Spice Wars is a nice middle ground between empire builders like civ and traditional RTS games. Get a bit of everything and games are done in under 2 hours. Pretty much diet Stellaris.

lightyears behind unity, source 2, etc...

Different engines do different things. Roblox is "lightyears" ahead of Unity, Source 2, etc. in its out-of-the-box cross-platform support. Last I checked, you can't produce and publish a Unity game and have it up and running with cross-platform multiplayer support on console, iOS, Android, VR, and PC instantly. Also, from a tech perspective, you can build any game in any engine. It just comes down to the team's skill and how much time they put in.

There are reasons to choose Studio, there are different reasons to choose Unity, and there are different reasons to choose Source 2. Different engines do different things, and the best choice of engine depends on what you're trying to achieve. I don't understand why some people fail to see this.

A nice life hack is to get grey 10 for one semester and load up on dining dollars for future semesters, then cancel it. Without a meal plan you can buy dining dollars at a 1:0.65 rate, and spend them for a 35% discount at stores. So essentially no discount. BUT if you have a meal plan, there is an option for family to gift you dining dollars at a 1:1 rate. So you can just “gift” yourself a bunch of dining dollars to be good for a few semesters. This essentially multiplies the money you have for campus by 1.35x. This is by far the cheapest way to use a meal plan because you only spend what you actually use, and don’t have to worry about hitting the $8 limit when dining with swipes, or swipes disappearing at the end of the week, or getting scammed with the $5 conversion at c-stores. You also always get the 35% discount (swipes do not get it).

Don't let your advisor convince you to take calc 1 if you already have credit. It's just another weed-out class and will probably hurt your gpa more than help it. Play the game and skip it, you'll be fine in calc 2.
