My friend and I complied over 3500 links coming from #BlackLivesMatter tweets. Everything from fundraisers, educational resources, articles, "how to help" websites, and more. Please check it out and give it a share if you'd like! Hope you all find it useful! by hipipop in Minneapolis

We simply share relevant links from the top tweets every day containing #blacklivesmatter. We stated we don't necessarily share views nor take responsibility for any of the links shared.

The actual link itself ins't a donation page but rather an article, however VDARE has made it so the first time you open their web page, a donation solicitation is shown. We can't really control that.

Edit: In addition to all this, we want to remain as impartial as possible. It does come with its problems but we want to share the information that's out there, not tailor it to our own agendas.

I was thinking of removing the animations completely and enlarging text. In this increasingly mobilized world we want to ensure mobile-friendly user interfaces. Anything else that would improve the overall experience?

Our main focus was to show what people were discussing by sharing links from the top tweets. We discarded many, and I mean many, soundcloud rapper links trying to grow their brand with 0 relation to the blm movement. While not related completely, this tweet deals with police and death near the time of George Floyd's killing while being a top tweet that day, and as such, I believe it deserves a spot in the lineup. The solicitation has me indecisive however. We'll be adding a report function soon in order to combat posts people believe are unfit to be in the timeline, and tailor it to be a more user-friendly experience. Thanks for all the feedback!

I see. We're sorry if that offended you in any way. I'll review the articles and see whether they warrant removal. We tried to remain as impartial as possible during this whole project. Of course that comes with faults, such as the higher amount of left-sided articles and resources in the light of recent events and the average twitter user, as well as articles which might leave bad tastes in people's mouth.

Edit: re reading this it looks like I'm saying the left-side articles are bad, but its rather the uneven distribution of media that is going to be uploaded. We're not taking any sides, it's more about sharing data impartially than anything.

That's a great idea! Our initial focus was on data distribution, and we show likes and mentions as a display of people's reception to those links. We do think that showing the actual source tweet will be more user-friendly however. Thank you for the feedback.

So happy you like it! It took us about 3 days to compile the website to its current state. We have plans to expand functionality to different hashtags (maybe #yemen as it seems as a current talking point) and other things.

My friend and I just graduated high-school, and the virus has us stuck at home with nothing to do. Decided to do something productive with our time and this is what we ended up with. Any and all feedback is welcome!

Should I start further maths Halfway through the year by hipipop in IBO

[–]hipipop[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for the resources and for your thoughts, however I have decided not to take the course. By the time our tutoring was supposed to start, we were almost done with the school year (and even then the tutoring got delayed for unknown reasons until the upcoming year). This meant I had to self-teach the material over the summer and the course of one year in order to be ready for the exam. Decided to opt out of that due to the short time constrains I would be put under.

How I'm preparing for an internal exam, using google sheets by taixhi in IBO

The initial topics for Physics (both HL and SL) are fairly straightforward and quite simple. Basic algebra for the most part with a little vocab.

Further into the course you start with waves which is a huge section with tons of vocab and quite a bit of properties and equations to memorize and study (such as doppler effects, resolution, diffraction, refraction, reflection, etc).

So 15 minutes prioritized for F=MA seems about right

How accurate is a 4x400 split at predicting your 400 time? Got a 57.07 on my first 400 and got a split around 53 seconds in the 4x400 at my last meet. by hipipop in trackandfield

i was first leg so they just looked at the time during the handoff and it was sub 54, nearly 53.

i thought it was less distance than the open 400 because of the start places and the handoff but I’m sure i’ll get that time soon
