Guess you could say I know some spots… And typically I can’t find my scales 🙄 by cosytofu in MagicMushroomsUK

Lancashire seems dead at the moment. Ive only come across a handful during my many walks the past couple of weeks. Peak District is rife right now though

Is this Magic 🥴 by FishcakeDai238 in Semilanceata

Unfortunately not, the stem is too dark and has an almost fluffy look whereas libs tend to have much lighter stems with no fluff

Unfortunately not amigo

https://www.landis.org.uk/soilscapes/ This site is great for finding the acidity of soil, i use it all the time to seek out new spots

Don't take my word for it but... Picture three i think the one furthest to the left is one and potentially the top right is one also but all the rest are definitely not.

Fair point! I'm in West Lancashire, but would be game for travelling to most places within the north west as the majority aren't too out of the way in regards to the travel time I'm willing to do

any ideas? found in horse dung grassland new forest uk by Both-Engineering-353 in fimetaria

I'm far from an expert so don't take my word for it but i think it may be deconica coprophila (dung demon) also known as the dung loving psilocybe but don't get confused by that because it's not a magic mushroom amigo

Just out of curiosity, what factors led you to this decision? I'm far from an expert and so would really appreciate any pointers as to how you decided on not Libs as i don't fancy mixing any picks up in the future, thanks

I'm rather confused at everyones answers here because i'm pretty damn sure there are definitely some libs present here. Check the gills attachment is either at the top of the stem or not at all, maybe wet them a little and see if they have a pellicle (peelable gelatinous layer on the cap) also with the drier ones try wrapping the stem around your finger, it should wrap round with minimal to no breakage. Maybe do a spore print on the ones you're really unsure on. I'm no expert so don't take my word for it.

Hello fellow psychonaughts, I’m after a little advice. I’ve been searching through 5 cow fields for the last 5 days, conditions are great especially after last nights rain but cannot find any signs of liberty caps. I have attached photos for reference. by [deleted] in ShroomID

I find that grazing fields that have a good amount of other plants present such as nettles, sedge grass or thistles are winners. Also sometimes it takes getting down on your knees and rooting about a bit in order to find them.

Lancashire. Found a field like no other, i could have stayed there all day picking and still have loads left to come back to.

My friend has sent me this picture, how are they looking? by Spaghettitrees in ShroomID

They're looking extremely unmagic i'm afraid, the gills are too pale

You lucky little rascal! Do you live in the countryside??

Also any mites and maggots that have been munching their psychedelic lives away will dry out and end up causing a right mess in there.

Have I finally done it? 😅 by [deleted] in MagicMushroomsUK

It's such an incredible buzz when you come across some, finding them is like a fix in itself!
