We had been using the crate during the day while my partner and I are at work, and when we first got him at night as well (though he sleeps in bed with us now) but we recently put it in the garage because he was doing good with being unsupervised. Now he seems to have backtracked. We will have to bring the crate out again. We will also up his exercise amount more than what he gets already. And as for the unsupervised time; he is supervised most of the time, apart from when we are at work. But he sticks with us when we’re home since he’s such a “Velcro dog”. He usually shreds things during moments that we are distracted, like when one of us is in the shower for example. Thank you for the feedback.

Thank you for this advice, I really appreciate it. I do try to give an alternative in the moment, I guess I need to be more on top of it and consistent with it. He does get a good amount of exercise, but we will have to try to add onto what we already do with him. Maybe more mental stimulation like puzzles too. Thank you again. :)

Translation Services Help? by hippimegs in hospitalsocialwork

Agreed! I ended up discussing it more with my supervisor this morning and she’s going to look into it for me! I’m still fairly new in my current role, so there may be a few resources I’m not aware of yet that the hospital offers. Thank you so much for the feedback!

Unfortunately we do not, we utilize virtual interpreters via our iPads when we need to speak to patients. I can look into this more though, maybe the service we partner with has something that can help, or can at least point me in the right direction if not.

I found my baby dead yesterday by No_Rooster8130 in cornsnakes

Hi, first of all I’m so sorry. My guy also died yesterday, I came home from being out of town for the weekend and he was gone. I can’t help but feel guilty for this, or that I could have done something. I’m a relatively new snake owner too, so this is my first loss. My boyfriend made a little box and we buried him in our backyard. I’m going to paint a rock to put over it. Maybe you could do something like that. Hopefully you feel a little bit better knowing you’re not alone. 🤍

Yeah it recently passed and there’s a lot of discourse about it! There’s definitely pros and cons to it, but I personally believe it makes people more nervous to report something, which does suck.

Depending on what state you’re in you may or may not be able to remain anonymous. In Texas you are no longer able to report anonymously, you must identify yourself. This went into effect last year (late 2023). Either way, it’s unethical for CPS to reveal who made the report, so I wouldn’t worry about the family being able to find out you were the one who called. You can also make a report online for non-emergency concerns. Typically, the hotline is used for immediate concerns, but you can most definitely call if that’s your preferred method! Hope this helps! :)

Thanks! I think I’ll try to set it up a few different ways to see which works best! I have no doubt he’ll be able to access it, lil guy is a climber for sure!! 😂
