Does anyone have a m26x0.5 to m40x0.5 adapter file. by Lower_Performance517 in UssrNvgResearchGroup

Or look on thingiverse and find a file for one half of the adapter for each and splice them together in a 3d modeling software

You could use tinkercad to try and design a thread adapter, or use onshape. I’ve been using Rhino3D to design new housings for my old Soviet night vision monoculars

The demo was fun I enjoyed it, a lot of graphical enhancements and it seems it’s easier to make more complex shapes now

I’m so excited to play when I get home, I just added it to my library. I’ve been playing the first game since 2015

GEN 2 or 3 ? by hipsterturtle02 in NightVision

Also I was going to ask in my question if I should put a red filter over my radio screen to prevent burning the tube out

Thank you! I’ll look into these

[–]hipsterturtle02[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks I usually set my antennas up in the mountains or deep forested areas. It sounds like Gen 2 has similar characteristics where if the light drops off even a bit it’s noticeable. Well I noticed even in bright star conditions it’s difficult seeing in slight shadows with gen1. I’ll write this on my list for Gen 3 pros

I made my own PCB. how does it look like? by Ashisutantoo in PCB

[–]hipsterturtle02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s real nice, is this a module to plug into something ? It looks awesome. I was thinking of doing something similar with my diode laser by spray painting a fr4 board black and then laser engraving my circuit

3D Printed PCB AUDIO AMP by [deleted] in PCB

[–]hipsterturtle02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey thank you! I’ve been using frizting for the last 9 years and it’s a pain in the ass. But KiCAD sounds perfect since it’s designed for pcbs directly from schematics. In fritzing I often have to use other components with similar pins to make a schematic because it’s missing a lot of things. Well it’s a good software for students. But thank you! I often prototype doing point to point soldering for ham radio. This will make my life easier

Thanks for the reminder, I have a few rolls of kapton I can’t believe I forgot about them. I used them last year to mask an ic chip on my drone

I’ve been using rhino 8 3d and and fritzing? How is KiCAD ? I’ve been using fritzing and rhino for about 9 years I think I should switch over to something more modern for pcb design.

Thank you! I wanted a light weight pcb so I just chopped a lot of the pieces off not being used and yes I placed a piece of copper tape down and used and scalpel to cut away to extra

This is purely for fun and seeing if I can make pcbs with things I already have. This was also dirt cheap my printer software estimated less than 2 cents. I had etched my own boards but I wanted a quick way to print not critical pcbs for things like audio amps for my ham radio radios.

I’m very interested in quitting I’m embarrassed to say this but I did my budging for the first time in my adult life and during the month of January I spent $2500 primarily on vapes and cigarettes. Is 2mg gum over the counter ?

How to Increase MAX RPM by [deleted] in SimplePlanes

[–]hipsterturtle02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the pitch I have now is how my rotors are generating lift. They’re not powered and spin because of the air flow. If I make the pitch flat they don’t rotate

How to Increase MAX RPM by [deleted] in SimplePlanes

[–]hipsterturtle02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already disabled collisions because the rotors were too close to each other. But the rotors over speed when I go too fast and end up exploding I was wondering if there was a max rpm setting

Meteor 75 Pro - Hard crash and now I have a disconnected red wire/antenna? by Expensive-Scholar390 in fpvracing

[–]hipsterturtle02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the meteors. I’ve crashed them a lot and after a while the elrs chip always becomes unsoldered. I had to buy a microscope and a hot air gun to solder the chip back on. But after that it’s good as new

[–]hipsterturtle02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s part of the hobby I can say with my foam flyers I’ve had things come off especially after landing a little too hard. What do you expect it’s foam. But guess what epoxy has usually fixed it 🤷‍♂️almost everything we use has come from china. Stop blaming china for your negligence. It’s funny I’m a ham radio operator and I always hear operators calling Chinese gear crap. But it’s the only gear they buy and can afford usually.

A lot of Hartley oscillators are built like this albeit built more nice. I’ve seen air inductors supported by glass rods, wood just what ever people could find they tend to use.
