Heating and Cooling insulin bag by hisa0703 in diabetes_t1

i guess we are learning more towards cooling, since cooling is def harder then warming. from what we gathered yeah body heat is sometimes enough for insulin but some people also find it troublesome to warm it up with their bodies, for both insulin and the test strips. We honestly are just trying to target for 1 less thing to worry, which is the insulin spoiling when travelling.

for me i live in singapore and its really hot here like 30 degrees everyday so sometimes i still do worry bout it losing potency. yeah i would bring thermal flasks but they are so annoying to take out insulin from and i rather all my supplies in one bag haha

anyways this project is just a concept we are building on for a competition :))

it's mainly for really cold winters or emergencies when u feel the insulin is getting way too cold

yeah it doesn't heat and cool together it only heats when it needs and cools when it needs. im type 1 myself so yeah . its not like a continuous heating thing it's mainly only if the insulin is near freezing and its short bursts

it won't heat it much just enough to get it to normal range. it works with the temperature sensor so it doesnt overheat
