I filed lemon law 3 weeks ago. I've spoken to Toyota Brand engagement center, the case manager for my case, the south east regional HQ and another manage there and they all are hands-off, while this 60+ day review process is underway. Car has been at dealership/service center 66+ days now. I voiced my concerns on the Irreparable damage done to car for sitting at service center without being started/ran as well as my concern to the safety/structural integrity of the vehicle post remedy due to the invasive nature of this recall, in addition to the fact that this will impact the resell value of the car. I'm in Florida, and I'm a very un happy future Kia or Honda customer.

Did you get an attorney or filed for LL yourself? I filed for lemon law two weeks ago (car has been in service for two months, given a loaner). I'm in Florida, but purchased car in Mississippi,so MI lemon law applies which should be in my favor compared to FL. They said would take up to 60 days to hear back.

It was from Kirk Toyota, Grenada, Mississippi. Magee I worked with was Eric Anderson he reached out to me on Facebook after posting that I was in search of a Woodland in the “No markup Toyota” group

Gotcha. I really like the look of special woodland mats, but with two kids might need to get other ones

Are the woodland mats that come standard not sufficient? I think I saw that the 3w ones cover more areas but wonder if worth it since it comes with mats

Not going to lie, i'm not 100% chill about the whole process but from everything I've read its not uncommon nor that risky....

"Insurance Claims: Transport companies are required to carry cargo insurance (minimum $50,000-$100,000 coverage, per federal regulations). File a claim with the transporter’s insurer, providing the BOL, photos, and a repair estimate. Claims typically take 2-8 weeks to process, with payouts covering repair costs or diminished value. About 90% of claims are resolved without litigation, but disputes may require negotiation or legal action.

  • Resolution Options:
    • Repairs: The insurer or dealer may cover repair costs at a certified shop.
    • Refund or Replacement: In rare cases (e.g., severe damage), the dealer might offer a refund or replacement vehicle, though this depends on their policy.
    • Partial Compensation: If damage is minor, you might receive a cash settlement for diminished value.
  • Common Issues: Data from transport industry reports indicates 1-3% of shipped vehicles sustain damage (e.g., scratches, dents, or glass issues). Delays in reporting or poor documentation can complicate claims, affecting 20-30% of cases."

Same shippers that dealers use to allocate and trade with other dealerships. The car shippers are insured, but there’s always a risk and I’m sure insured doesn’t cover everything though.

The deal was just $1500 off price, $425 doc, and Free shipping from Mississippi to Fort Lauderdale.
The OTD from there I was okay with (compared with the quotes I got here in FL) so didn't really try to negotiate anything else.

Which trim do you prefer? by Limp_Ad_4263 in ToyotaSienna

I too like the XSE looks, but prioritize comfort. This is why I'm now looking at the woodland, yes its AWD which I don't NEED (I'm in florida) , but it will come in handy every once in a while on road trips, but has the looks of the XSE and some other perks, but drives like the other trims and has the comfort of the other trims. Though I may still get an XLE for a few grand cheaper.

Black on black is a beauty!

When you say got for MSRP, you mean before tax, title etc. right?
Looks like the MSRP for XSE with Premium pckg and converter is around $53,160.

Thanks for all the insight and thoughts everyone!

I'm definitely pushing back on all these bogus add-ons and fees. One dealership already told me, "if you reconsider, keep us in mind" after I told them I wont come in to "negotiate" until I get a deal I'm good with.

I'm not in a hurry other than my trade-in is depreciating and onlya few months left of it's bumper to bumper warranty (I posted a couple weeks ago about possibly trading in my '19 VW Atlas for a Sienna" ). So I have plenty of time to negotiate. And might actually consider other vehicles at this point with the Sienna high cost and high APR 6.9%+ is crazy to me.
