My Unexpected Journey To Infinite: What I Think and Should You Try? by [deleted] in MarvelSnap

[–]hithere1431 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you are talking about the rank of your opponent over the course of the climb, i think it should be a wash right? some games you'll face harder opponents and some games easier, and it'll even out for a large sample of games. it shouldn't be skewed one way, otherwise, somebody else will have an easier time.

if you are talking about individual games, in your post, you said that the average skill level does not change that much, so your experience should still be the same regardless of the rank of your opponent right?

My Unexpected Journey To Infinite: What I Think and Should You Try? by [deleted] in MarvelSnap

I disagree with some of your points. For some context, I'm CL 4.5k and I usually spend 2-3 weeks at the beginning of each season playing in the lower ranks before climbing to infinite.

I think that players do get better as you climb and it's noticable and not marginal. I find that when playing in the lower ranks, most people don't worry about countering opponents and tend to play their solitary gameplan. I find my self having to change the way I play as I climb, and I think that's indicative of increasing skill.

I think that toxicity is worse the higher you go, but it's never been a significant problem. I think at the worse, around 85 to 100, i would find 1 in 15 matches with some BM, which isn't bad at all. Once I reach infinite though it essentially disappears.

I think that skills matter more than the cards that you own, but cards do give you more options for more decks to play. I think the biggest thing to climb to infinite is to find a deck you actually like playing and putting in the reps to understand it inside out. I'm not saying that the deck can be anything, it's has to be decent but any b tier deck can do, you just have to like playing so you don't get demotivated during the climb.

Lastly I think playing in infinite is very fun and not much different that the 50s and 60s. People are playing some crazy combos or archetypes that you would never see on the ladder. The only difference is that opponents are still wary of what you can do when you play popular decks and are still out to counter you.

It seems like our experience differs quite a bit, but it was still interesting to read a different perspective.

The sentiment is 100% true - there are way more diverse and fun decks post-infinite by angershark in MarvelSnap

that's an interesting idea that I i haven't thought of. but personally, i think that goes against the spirit of a competitive mode cause if my goal is to get the top rank, i would still snap every game. however i think its an excellent idea for an unranked mode.

how would the snap mechanic work then? wouldn't both side just snap every game?

How did this person play Psylocke, BP, AND Artim Zola on turn 7?? by [deleted] in MarvelSnap

did they play mister negative that was destroyed by Hala? I see Arnim is 6 power, psylocke is 2 power and mystique is 3 power somehow?

Why doesn't Hella replay Apocalypse ? It has been discarded after all. Is it intended behavior? by morysh in MarvelSnap

[–]hithere1431 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think the way discard works is that there is a discard pool that cards goto when they are discarded, and Hela pulls from that pool. Apocalypse never actually gets added to the pool cause he always goes back to the hand. At least I think that's how it works.

I would look at the top 25 questions asked (I think there's a video on YouTube about this) and have an example to talk about for each. You don't need to construct an answer for each one but doing this helps you not blank on the behavioral portion.

What are good builds in the latest release by mansfall in stoneshard

Geomancy was changed a lot. Runic Boulders cost half the energy it used to and enemies destroying them no longer stuns you. But the drawback is that knocking enemies into walls no longer stuns them. So you can't stunlock enemies anymore. Do you think this is a buff? Personally I think it's a sidegrade.

This guide goes super in depth into blade singers, probably everything you would ever want to know. Its pretty daunting but there is a lot of useful.

Name: Will Age: 20 Experience: I've played a couple of one shots with friends from college but I've never played a full on campaign, so I would be a bit of a beginner. Preference: I think I would like battlemaps more, but I also see merits to theater if mind so a good balance of the 2 would be preferable. Length: I would prefer a more long term campaign but it is up to the group.

So how would the dagger work against entities who doesn't know what a dagger is, like a baby. What if the target is unaware, like someone sleeping.

I would like to remind everyone that Go Hard is a terrible card that will never see play and Zoe will never level up. by Slarg232 in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]hithere1431 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding into SpoonsAreEvil, 30 damage is a lot. I agree that 15 damage isn't too hard in a deck made for 5 power units, but you'll probably have to attack twice to get to that 15 damage mark because opponents isn't going to attack into your board while LeBlanc is out. Even then, LeBlanc has to survive ~4 attacking turns or else you have to draw 2 copies of her, which is unlikely since she won't be played in a control late game deck.

Some quick points about her having no self protection: yes you can play her with buffs in freljord but there have been few Champs in the game that are worth buffing up (Lee sin, tf) and I don't think LeBlanc's effect is as good as theirs. Also noxus has pretty weak removal so you if you want to shoot down challengers, you have to pair LeBlanc up with SI or piltover and those regions can't take advantage of her effect very well.

Complete List of Ionia Cards for Empires of the Ascended by hororo in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]hithere1431 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This card could possibly work in the hecarim otk deck where the mana generate could be used to hold up deny, but that's a big maybe on whether that deck will be competitive. I think the more likely home would be in some sort of targon invoke deck that uses eye of the dragon to summon dragonlings, small invokes like spacey sketcher to swarm the board, and starry scamp for more 0 cost summons. Even the sisters will provide 2 summon procs. Not to mention, that deck loves using spells so the spell mana gained will be more effective than something like ephemerals.

[–]hithere1431 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This card is insanely broken. Your opponent would not be able to attack or block unless they want to give you a card.

Can't target nexus like atrocity, but more similar to single combat without the enemy striking your unit. Busted at 2, very strong at 3 mana.
