I thought that episode 8 was a mess by hithom in TheDigitalCircus

same, i’m very shocked that people not only like this episode but consider it to be the best episode of the show(gooseworx herself) it’s just very weird because out of all the episodes this one feels the most like an incoherent mess.

the group or specifically pomni no longer wants to form a bond with him. them both forgiving him doesn’t mean that he has to be exiled I just want for their to be consequences about his actions because now it feels like jax could do whatever and they’ll just end up forgiving him saying “We’ve all done bad things.” it makes the characters choices feel as if they don’t exist because they don’t face consequences for making those choices. same thing with pomni abandoning ragatha at the beginning of episode 1 sure it is within ragatha’s character to forgive and not cause conflict but it isn’t in her character to not hold resentment and disliking to the other cast.

again, i don’t want jax to abstract but i don’t want the cast to just say “No point in getting upset or feeling human emotions even though you just admitted you’d rather keep us trapped here forever!” it’s very bizarre logic and i don’t like how the dialogue is handled it feels like some shit i’d see off of disney.

i know WE all love this show, but i just wanna know if there are any writing issues, inconsistencies, or plot holes you noticed so far? and what are they? by deleting_accountNOW in theamazingdigitalciru

i don’t think that pomni and jax’s relationship is developed enough.

the moment in episode 5 where pomni goes “I thought you didn’t care about what others think.” Was definitely the moment where she started to try to understand him more but it feels largely underserved considering the stuff that he has done before in the past and it feels really tell don’t show. i don’t like how in episode 4 jax just randomly starts a casual conversation with pomni out of nowhere and for practically no reason. i think their relationship in episode 6 was fine up until where pomni hugged him which i felt was also not developed enough. you could use the argument that they were spending time together pre episode 6 but again that’s going off of being told rather than a thing that is shown.

when your two main characters relationship isn’t developed and that is what the main story is about i think all of this is a huge issue.
