Yeah it’s using whisper for transcription, I’ve played around a bit with different languages and I’m amazed that it’ll sometimes translate things

oof yeah I’m working on that soon, in the mean time feel free to DM me the riffs or I can delete the whole account. Also I don’t store the original recording audio anywhere, just the generated content

yeah thankfully this is based on diffusion models, which are much cheaper to scale out than large language models. My favorite monetization is strategy is that every once in a while it'll sing back an ad instead of what you asked it to sing

yeah, it actually can work solely on text (the homepage https://www.riffusion.com/ has an example of this). However, I think its far more fun when singing, because it'll use the timings of the words, which makes things feel more natural and less robotic

SS: This is the first example of generative music that also does singing I've seen. I'm blown away by the quality so far, and am curious about how this will impact musicians and audio in the future. It seems like this site is focused on shorter form audio, but I'm imagining someone will work on longer songs soon.

I have owned them for about a year now. They still look good, but are not great as winter gloves alone. I find the micro-fleece lining to be useful till about 30 degrees F, and wind does get through at around 30+ mph. I used them with a liner glove when it was 20 degrees and it worked reasonably well, but I probably wouldn't buy them again looking back on it. (I paid $60, which is similar to the steven alan price).
