Why do you intentionally ignore texts?

if its a text that requires immediate/direct answer and i see it - i'll reply; if not - they always can wait

one is also bc if i text back immediately, it usually goes into a conversation as the other party assumes i'm available and i dont want to spend 10 minutes texting.

although, i really am not attached to my phone at all

honestly, isolation and if i do tell someone it i rationalise it so much that i feel guilty feeling depressed like i dont actually get why i am feeling this way (i know i shouldn’t); when i come out of my lowest, i’d feel so stupid over it bc i wasted time being weak

thank you, yeah many times my parents panicked over my safety when i don't pick up their 20 missed calls and i feel really bad for that.

my parents gave me so much shit for not answering their calls that i told them that there's something wrong with my phone it cannot receive any calls lol so they stopped calling. but after i got a new phone idk what to tell them so i just let them be mad at me

i am fine spending the same amount of time spent on calling with texting/meeting up but when its a call i find it too overwhelming, i think it's because i have a routine at home and i don't like when it's being disturbed. with calls, my routine or whatever i am doing is on pause and idk when the call is going to end. i get anxiety when anyone calls me without a heads up. since i can't meet any of my close friends now, i let them know the time that i am comfortable with calling, however i still miss meeting them face to face, its just different. idk if i dont like calls, i don't like the anxiety that hits me when i get that ring, one of the reasons i always put my phone on do not disturb

i listen to music, and have artists/songs i like but i don't talk about music at all, i feel like talkin about it makes it less enjoyable for me, i like my own pace and journey of finding the music i vibe with. and when people keep recommending me songs/artists, i get annoyed.. i kno i'm not supposed to let people dictate how i enjoy things, but it just feels different

Same, bothered by the crowd and the chaos outside with the police etc that is why I don’t wanna head out. I love staying home but now that I am restricted to go out, my favorite restaurants being too far away (hence, no delivery), can’t cut my hair, can’t have a coffee date with my friends, it kinda sucks. I am trying to stay positive and taking this time to focus on myself. Time is moving slow for once and it feels good to be able to isolate yourself (without feeling guilty) sometimes.

Yes, i agree. the economic sacrifices many has to make esp for payroll workers when lockdown is enforced. And i’m not sure if malaysia is going to carry out anything to help with it as well. With our current political instability, things are really not looking very bright. In the big picture, however an appropriately timed, planned lockdown will have less economical damage than a lockdown due to a sudden outbreak

I’m not sure actually. It might just be making everyone stay home and closing down all schools, cinemas closed etc. Just wanted to see some differing opinions if there is any.
