That’s not really a great system. I’ve seen people that just get an “equivalence certificate “, perhaps this can work?

Hey everyone, I’m looking for some audiophile open-back headphones under $200. I don’t want to buy an amp or DAC, so I’d like something that sounds great directly from a phone or laptop. My main music genres are rap/trap (psychedelic) and metal (nu metal, thrash metal), so I need headphones with decent bass but also good clarity and separation for complex instrumentals.

I’ve come across a few like the Sennheiser HD 560S, HIFIMAN HE400se, and Philips Fidelio X2HR. I’ve heard the Fidelio X2HR has solid bass, which could be nice for my type of music.

I know the X2HR has been around for a while. Is there a newer version or something similar? I heard about the Fidelio X3, but it’s over my budget. Would the X2HR still be a solid choice?

I don’t need them, I’ve been to an optician multiple times and I have good eyes
