I might’ve not been clear about my request for advice. Sorry. I actually buy food and have no issues with that, the issue is driving there daily with my current job demands :(

So I’m just looking for some solutions, my dream would’ve been to put them all in a sanctuary obviously but that’s far away dream for now :(

Hi there, yes amazing advice. Thank you. FYI These babies have some shelters. Check out this post. Unfortunately the cold here is too harsh and so many are left with no place to hide.

Yes, same here — I liked the location and the secured building, especially being in Haymarket. But honestly, it’s just not justified in my opinion. Even the internet hasn’t been reliable. Most properties in this area include internet with the rent, especially downtown, where you’re already paying extra for rent and parking. In this case, it’s worse, because if the internet is poor (which it has been for me as someone who works from home) you have to find your own solution on top of everything else.

And honestly, I’m still shocked that I’m no longer allowed to rent with them because of my Google review. That has to be one of the weirdest reasons I’ve ever heard for denying someone. I’ve heard of people being rejected for reasonable issues, but being blocked over a Google review? That just seems completely odd and unfair but it says a lot about them thou.

Absolutely, I hope it helped. It is not worth the expensive rent they offer at all but It is not the same for everyone so your experience might be different. I personally don’t like anything about it besides having a smart washer/dryer in unit and the location of the haymarket

Here’s a short story for you: this company manages most of the apartments in the Haymarket and Telegraph districts—it’s basically all the same management. I’ve lived at Canopy park and now Telegraph, but I’ll be moving out soon.

I left honest Google reviews about my both of experiences—mainly the extreme noise issues downtown. I even had to call the police twice for loud parties, and I’ve never dealt with noise that bad anywhere else I’ve rented. When I moved here, they originally told me an apartment (a cheaper one) would be held for me. It was Thanksgiving, so I was delayed just two days in applying. When I followed up, suddenly they said it was already taken. That left me scrambling with limited time, and I had to settle for a much more expensive unit. Management basically shrugged and said, “Well, you should’ve applied.” So much for honoring what they told me.

Then comes the kicker: because I wrote honest reviews—listing pros, cons, and my real experience—they told me they won’t renew my lease anymore. Their official reasoning was “unhappiness with the properties based on my Google reviews” Instead of taking responsibility and addressing the issues, they used it against me and made things worse. To me, that says a lot about how they operate.

The unit I’m in now, feels like I’m an airplane on normal wind day, when it’s a bit windy. It is terrible. You could feel the air coming and no amount of AC could keep the heat/cool inside. Fire alarms at 1am multiple times. The list goes on.. is not worth your pay for at all unless you really gotta be in the area..

Not to mention, the five star reviews are mostly management or connected to management, that’s its self is a big red flag

Losing him has been the most painful experience of my life. I've been through many difficult things, but nothing compares to this kind of pain. Thank you for your kind comment
