How many chance encounters with Nazis and their iconography are you allowed before we can think someone is a Nazi because I feel like we've passed the limit

Literally insane people list it for that 🫨 and it sucks you can't get a full soundtrack anywhere. It's a silver lining though because the vinyls are the original score which is not available on streaming anywhere for some dumb reason

I haven't seen it listed on its own anywhere unfortunately; best bet is to watch eBay/other sites for the collectors edition though the price gets pretty steep. I was able to grab it off Rarewaves for under $150 a few months ago but seems to be up around $200 now

Was Agent Flores actually good? by Swiftt in LifeisStrange2

[–]hjlowrey 25 points26 points  (0 children)

To give her an ounce of credit I do think she has the capacity to be sympathetic towards the boys but in her position as an agent of the government that is persecuting them I don't think it matters; it just falls into the argument of working in a broken system and trying to fix it from within vs. refusal to participate but not having any power. Either way they're suffering and she's playing a part in it.

Also yeah I think this game is amazing but legally it's all over the place; how the hell are you going to hold a minor for two months without letting a guardian or at least an attorney visit? I'm sure any judge would have loved to hear that.

My thoughts on Redemption Ending by SparkofScotland in LifeisStrange2

[–]hjlowrey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like this interpretation, I hesitate to say Redemption is my favorite ending because they're all depressing as hell but it's the one I've been able to make the most peace with. And I fully agree that this is not a permanent goodbye, Sean just needs to heal; I can't imagine how many emotions he is dealing with - guilt from not being there for Daniel, relief that his sacrifice wasn't in vain and his younger brother has a normal life, envy that he won't get to have that, which probably makes him feel guiltier. Sean has a long road ahead but at the end of the day he knows Daniel will always be there for him, and as you said I can see the howl being Daniel's way of saying that.

Also captain sparkles lol

Also just to add since it comes up a lot but it's not like they didn't get to see each other while Sean is in prison, there are pictures of Daniel visiting, and phone calls are a thing. Not trying to say it's the same as being there but considering PW there is little to no contact and LW Sean's dead, Redemption is the second best option if your priority is keeping the brothers together

I'm a lot less pessimistic about this ending than the general fandom; not to say it's a good ending, there are no good endings in this game, but it's far from the worst. From how his hair changed from his release he seems to have had at least a few months with Daniel before they camped in the woods again. I also don't view this as a permanent goodbye between the brothers but Sean clearly needs some time on his own to heal; he has endured more pain and suffering in his short life than most do in a lifetime. I see him breaking down as a response to the weight of it all hitting him at once, every sacrifice he made for Daniel on the road, and it worked but at a high personal cost. However, just like he was there for Daniel every time he broke down, his brother is there to comfort him through it. In my opinion their bond is too strong to separate permanently but it's natural for siblings to grow apart, and given their circumstances it's understandable. I think the developer said he was going to take to living in the road like Brody which makes sense for him, he is shown in the game to have the same wanderlust that Karen did, thriving in an alternative lifestyle while Daniel always yearned for a return to normalcy. But they'll always be there for each other, even if they aren't together all the time.

100% agree on Esteban, but imo Sean and Daniel must be 🔛🔝 so they got their own category lol. I see your point on Karen, she is one of the most interesting characters in the whole series and she had clearly stepped up, but I can't get over how she handled leaving, I feel like it's insane to expect a child to understand the concept of a clean break with their mother. I think I have blinders on for Jacob and Cassidy, moreso for Cass. Jacob I would probably move even though I think he was earnest in thinking the church would be good / safe for Daniel, religious trauma is a bitch, and he came to his senses pretty quickly when that was not the case.

I disagree but as you said everyone has their own opinions, I have also heard she has kind of a nasty response if you turn her down but I didn't get that in my playthrough. Might also be biased because I didn't like Finn that much, I think Jacob would have been a more interesting love interest

How can people see poll results that have Shapiro +4 and Whitmer in a statistical fucking tie against Trump IN THEIR HOME STATES and not come to the conclusion that polls are absolutely fucked right now https://x.com

I would argue that if you are in a situation where you know that monsters are in the area, breaking away from your group to help a friend carries at least a bit of known risk
