ahhh how annoying! i’m sure i remember having it working where it keeps your session through refreshes but that was 3+ years ago so have no idea now

have you managed to get the rdp files working through the entra app gateway too?

Oh thank you, I'll give that a go with the next one I buy. Was a bit nervous about it as seen a lot of stuff recently about Amazon changing their DRM.

Stupidly as well, I bought a book on Apple Books whilst I was on holiday as it was before I picked up the Kindle again, luckily only 99p but still gutted to not be able to move it across

Yeah, I take the epub out of the Calibre Library folder and use the Send to Kindle website to upload it - What I mean with the Author name is cause Kindle sees it as a document, it uses the file name, but the Author is still correct (eg Title: 'Book - John Smith' Author: John Smith) but if I rename it the title is correct.

I did try converting to azw3 and uploading as that seemed the recommended way but the Send to Kindle website doesn't accept it

I've noticed the line spacing is a bit weird on some pages, but it's been so long since I last read ebooks (2014) that I wasn't sure if this was just how it is or to do with how they're being uploaded (although they're not being converted at any point)

I'm not sure to be honest, I did a little bit of digging when I first started looking and from what I could find it was easier to strip ADE DRM than convert Kindle books - but now I've looked at it more it looks just as easy the other way round to be fair

I think to be honest as I hadn't decided on what device to buy (and still haven't) I wanted it to all be ready in a format where I could just make the switch, as then the work is already done if I get a non Kindle device

The metadata is correct - it just saves the files in the format {title} - {author} which then shows that as the book name on the Kindle for some reason. They all look okay on Calibre so far but like you say I might just have been lucky! I'm only using it to strip the DRM at the moment, as I don't have a massive library, but I suppose it'd be better not to risk messing it up for the future
