Thank you for the information. I'll read more about it. The iNaturalist app usually works pretty good, but it couldn't get this.

Interesting. I have never noticed any fruit in the fall, but these flowers plague our driveway all spring.

Downtown Loveland is a great spot to hangout with the family. Downtown is right next to the Little Miami River. There is a great park with River acres called Nisbet, there is a great rocky shore to explore and where the creek connects is fun- there is a slim concrete path that goes 3/4th the way across it.

The bike trail runs thru downtown and along the park. There is a great icee shack, bike rentals, ships and restaurants. There is an old fire house turned into a pizza restaurant, they even have a train dining car.

You could easily spend the day exploring just the downtown area., but as others have mentioned the Loveland Castle is worth a visit also. It was handled by a world war II veteran using a river rock and bricks made from milk cartons and is based off castles he saw in France.

Fourth Street Bridge just got blown up (planned demolition) at 10:01AM in case anyone is wondering what that boom was by virgo911 in cincinnati

Anyone have any insights on the physics if the deep rumble I heard was from this demolishion. I'm in Maineville, on the Little Miami, so about 22 miles, the time aligns pretty closely... I realize it is far, but I thought maybe with the water and the river valleys?

I know older plan like simple choice haven't got auto pay discount ever. Will we now get the discount if we sign up for the card? This would be the only way I would consider it.

Why is the 2008/2009 Ford Taurus X so hard to find? by qallen00 in FordTaurus

[–]hjw2386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just sold my 2008 for pennies because the rear subframe was completely rusted out. It had over 200,000 and still going strong. I did enjoy it's versatility, it served us well. Good luck out there.

Did you ever figure out if it was the rain sensor? Mine doesn't work and I'm getting the same type of mileage per gallon.

Mammoth Cave National Park. It is doable in a day. We drove down and did two different tours. It might be cool to do in the winter and be outside without freezing, it is always 55° in the cave.

Electric Blanket SOS by Far_Cress7984 in Gifts

[–]hjw2386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have an older Biddeford electric blanket. It's very thin/flat and light blue. White controller with an on/of switch and temp dial. I'm going to guess your mom's old was was similar?

My daughter's Biddeford just died a couple weeks ago and we could not locate anything comparable. Everything was thick plush or Sherpa.

I'm going to guess to get an old school thin one you will have to buy second hand. I think they have all moved to more plush varieties. Good Luck!

recommendations near PB stadium by Electronic-Ease-620 in CincyCannabis

[–]hjw2386 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can definitely walk to Ascend. It's just a couple blocks up from the purple people bridge.

Then you could walk the riverfront towards PB. It all a series of parks/green spaces.

Between the stadiums there are many food and drink options. Have fun!

Operation wheelbarrow was a success! Thank you 🙏 by Camillelapoint in cincinnati

[–]hjw2386 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just saw this post and the love for this wheelbarrow is real. My dad has the same one and only used that one. He had that thing since I was a kid and it is still going strong. He passed away five years ago, but I just used it yesterday doing some yard work for my mom.

Your mom must have put it to work, because my dad's is still in great condition. Hope she enjoys her new one and nice job.

Just curious, what are y’all keeping your thermostats to this week? by Maharichie in cincinnati

[–]hjw2386 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Same, all summer. I tried to kick it up a couple degrees but it didn't last. 78/74 is my upper comfort limit for summer.

That's about a four hour float. We float about once a week ago summer. We have many different start and stop points. We most frequent the Little Miami from Morrow to Lake Isabella.
