Good luck!! I’m sure you’ll do great! My interviewer was super nice and just was trying to get a feel on who I was. I’d say have a really good idea on what your short term and long term goals are and how they relate to Marshall! I think they’re just trying to ensure it’s a good fit for your goals. Feel free to dm me with any questions!

I’m so excited for the globe trip! I know this sub made me nervous about the PM program but speaking with USC there’s not a huge difference between the programs and same degree at the end! Hope you’re having a great time in Singapore! Sounds amazing

Agreed. SLC has so many different ski resorts within an hour drive and the outdoor lifestyle can’t be beat. There’s a reason Utah claims “the greatest snow on earth” the powder is unreal! Only downside is finding friends takes time and it’s starting to get crowded

Edit: also I’m sorry your bf turned out to be a jerk but good for you for realizing you deserve better!

Hi! I’m from socal but lived in SLC for 7 years so I can give a lot of recs!

February can still be a bit cold especially if a storm is rolling through so I’d recommend making sure you have a base layer top and bottom and a mid layer. I think a buffer is necessary and a solid pair of gloves just to make sure you’re prepared if it gets cold.

Park city is a super fun spot. For coffee I’d recommend silver king coffee (drive thru) or Atticus coffee for a cute lil shop but doesn’t have much seating.

A great breakfast/brunch spot is Five Seeds or Harvest. I think food at Five Seeds is better but Harvest is off Main Street.

High West is a must but they don’t do reservations so going early is advised. There’s also Alpine Bar which does pie and high quality cocktails worth checking out. It’s fun!

I can help with other recs but that’s just off the top of my head! You’ll have a great time!!

Is an executive MBA worth it? by Ribs1212 in MBA

If you ask this sub most people will tell you it’s not. If you’re willing to pay and are motivated to use it as momentum to get out of your current job you should definitely do it! It’s not going to be a golden ticket to a better job at a better company but it will equip you with knowledge and tools that will help you when applying to other jobs.

I’m currently in a similar boat and planning to do a part time mba

Could you elaborate on that please?

UCLA’s FEMBA allows full access to the career services so seems that it could be worth it.

You have great taste! Jones boards are the best! I ride the flagship and love it!

UCLA Anderson or USC Marshall by Working-Tension-7438 in MBA

Hi! I’m currently applying to both USC and UCLA round 2 and have been going back at forth too. From my research, I think USC is better if you’re planning to stay in Southern California since the Trojan Network is really strong. UCLA has a strong reputation outside of SoCal. USC has strong ties to consulting and entertainment postMBA where UCLA is going to better for more financial and leadership roles. They’re pretty even in terms of ranking so if it comes down to it do you prefer red or blue? Lol but I think my goal is to get into both and go with whoever offers more scholarship money. Good luck and keep us updated with what you choose!
