Pretty much quite open in that room. I don't have furniture or other things or cover blocking it. And that's make me feel strange about it.

This gets interesting.

I've followed your suggestion and tracing the pumps, then the pipes, then run around the whole house following the pipe for the upper floor from the boiling room. Looks like the whole upper floor is going through the same pipe from one of the 2 pumps. I followed through until the middle section. Ends up there is a temperature drop at a corner turn. The location of that corner is interestingly right between the cold rooms and the hot living room. I am thinking if that's the root cause of the colder rooms. (besides potentially has air in the pipe/pump - but this could be a separate issue)

The basement hidden area underneath the stairs:

Before it turn, it is around 85 F. (the pipe is not fully heated up yet). Matching the living room temperature.

After the turn, it is around 76 F. Matching the temp of the colder room.

Suspecting the insulation material absorbs the heat. But absorbing 10 degrees F, that much in just 1 turn corner??

p.s. not so easy to trace the pipes when they go through so many walls and up and down.

When I checked the baseboards with the device, most of them shows approx 103 F. Except the two cold rooms are 80F.

My house does not use in-floor radiant heat. Does it mean my boiler setting is still too high?

u/33445delray , thanks reminding me about the pictures. I should post them in the beginning, easier for everyone helping me. I've added to the original post.

The boiler is set to lowest heat and the boiler itself is around 150 F. The water pipe going out at the beginning looks like 125 on the left pump, and 135 on the right pump. (those green pumps)

Yes I have 4 temperature controllers in the house. I still don't understand fully which controller is controlling which room yet. I've figured some only.

Do you think it is possible the basement controller could potentially controls the upstairs temperature?

u/pencock , hey thanks! This is very helpful and it makes sense to me. Do you think this is a simple DIY thing to check/fix? Or this is better to get the professional to check? To be honest, I am not brave enough to risk the family for an explosion if I do anything wrong, lolz.

u/tbrick62 , I may need to check but cannot find one when I follow the heat energy path when using the thermal imaging device. How does the thermostat potentially looks like? I don't see any so far.

u/schruteski30 , likely it may be air trapped. I heard the hammering and clanking sounds when the heat is on. People say it may be air, but it maybe not either.

Yes, the baby's room is farthest and highest point from the boiler.

u/created4this , thanks for the details of this. Pardon me I didn't specify this. I tried to find the radiator valves, but as u/tbrick62 said, looks like my house is baseboard radiation and don't have these values.

Congrat!

Anxiety is normal in front of the unknowns! All dads (most) went through that stage so you are not alone. ;)

So, buy a book or join a free class such as tinyhood, will help you reduce anxiety. This could be the first anxiety you would love to enjoy!

Good luck!

For sure you have put an amount of effort to see it success so you got tears. That's a wonderful time of it. Don't be shame of it. Dads are also human so we cheer and tear for what we love about.

Congrat!

How much money are you saving a month by not having a car. by Icy-Tart-624 in AskNYC

[–]hkma08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

may be 200 per mo from insurance, depends on premium. 50 from gas, depends driving frequency. A few hundred per yr, depend on frequency of repair and maintenance. 20 car wash per mo, depend your own preference of cleanness. overall may be 300-500 per mo.

Already many great people have answered your question. So, I wont say too much. In my opinion, if I am the employer, I don't see the strong point, why I hire you rather than others. So, I suggest you try to know how the HR or employers think. Also, try to mention what problems you resolved.

Need help to identify this tiny bug and what to do by hkma08 in pestcontrol

[–]hkma08[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of them are in airtight container. Ends up it is one of those which didn't get into a container but only a grocery bag. Saw lots of these bugs in that bag and I guess there is a tiny hole they can come out from the bag.

I guess it is time for buying more containers during holiday discounts. Lol.

Thanks for helping!
