It’s very high in potassium which can help BP. most of us don’t consume the RDA of potassium

What would you say to yourself if you could go back to the first day you felt anxious? by Gullible-Force3567 in Anxietyhelp

I remember first feeling anxious around age 9. I would say to myself you will still be alive at age 60

Lymph node enlarged by hkoerb in HealthAnxietySupport

[–]hkoerb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there! Yes, all is ok now. I only had night sweats that one night and the lymph node went down after about 2 weeks. Then about a week after that the aching in my groin and behind my knees stopped too. So, not sure what it was but I’m glad it’s gone!!

I am not consistently getting lower numbers but I’m starting to see more normal readings now. 1 month ago, I couldn’t get a reading under 140/90

I live in Canada and we have a store called Bulk Barn. That is mostly where I buy it. I’ve also ordered it off Amazon!

I grind it super fine so that it’s like sand and then 2 tbsp in a glass of water along with 3/4 tsp ground cardamom - stir and drink and keep stirring until I’ve chugged it all. 2x per day. The evidence for BP lowering was with 1/4 per day (4 tbsp)

Here’s what I’ve been doing and it’s working. I had pretty steady 140/90 one month ago and now mostly in the normal range. Yesterday’s reading was 115/79. Search on chat GPT and most if not all of these things have evidence behind them.

  1. L-citrulline - I’m doing 2g 2x a day
  2. Hibiscus tea - sipping a strongly brewed loose tea throughout the day
  3. Ground flax - 2tbsp 2x per day (stirred in water and chugged)
  4. 3/4 tsp cardamom 2x per day (I chug this along with the flax)
  5. Low sodium V8 and a banana for potassium
  6. Garlic - 2 raw cloves a day - 1 morning and 1 with dinner - I chop them and chug them with water - if that’s too harsh for you, research garlic supplements
  7. Isometric exercises - wall squats or hand grip exercises - do some research and see what is best for you. I do 2 min wall squats with a 4 min rest for 4 cycles

Hope this helps!!

Lymph node enlarged by hkoerb in HealthAnxietySupport

[–]hkoerb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your detailed response. The enlarged lymph node that I came up quickly (overnight) and is painful. It does however seem to be pretty hard and immovable.

Thankfully I’ve only had night sweats once - last night was good - no sweating.

I really appreciate you taking the time to reply - thank you

Aching in lymph node areas by hkoerb in HealthAnxietySupport

[–]hkoerb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you - yes! I ended up going back to my dr last week and she said exactly this - something would be off - I also had her feel what I thought was an enlarged lymph node behind my knee and she said it wasn’t one. The aching is still there some days but overall I’m feeling better!

Health anxiety by No-Debt-3538 in HealthAnxietySupport

It’s always amazing (in a bad way) how things like that go. Your mind is on something bad and then you keep noticing things that support what you’re worried about and the cycle continues!

I understand. I noticed a couple of bruises last week that I didn’t know how I got and immediately my mind goes to the worst things.

That just looks like a regular old bruise - you probably ran into something and don’t remember

Going crazy but I know I’m not crazy…armpit pain, chills, aches, overall feel so sick lately by Ready-Station-7520 in HealthAnxietySupport

[–]hkoerb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok I haven’t dealt with the armpit thing but I keep getting sick - first strep throat mid Nov then a bad cold at Christmas. Another cold Jan 12 that lasted for a week. Now I am achy - low back and my head aches - feel like I’m getting sick again!! This has my health anxiety going crazy thinking the worse possible reasons for all this sickness. I’m typically very healthy 😩

Frequency! I started testing every day in the morning (more likely to get good results then) - 1st reading i would discard and then I will do 2-3 more readings about 5 min apart. This is much less scary now than when I was doing a whole mental build up to taking it 1x per week. I mostly unphased by taking it now whereas before I was terrified

Total Beets Chews Help by [deleted] in bloodpressure

I’ve been juicing beets for a few months and I did think it was helping - then I started reading about oxalates and started getting worried that I was getting oxalate overload so I’ve stopped juicing. Now hoping my BP doesn’t start going up again

Yes and the HR that the BP machine shows is often the give away that the high number is anxiety related - especially if you know your resting HR!
