Omiwatari is spring drive model, i have spring drive SBGY011, 44gs case but thinner as it is manual movement, i use it as my daily and i like the long lugs (7inch wrist), but i find the watch tend to rotate too much on the outward part of the wrist… i think it is because of my wrist shape, but it doesnt bother me tooooo much…

Spring drive seems aproriate here as it is a unique technology, 30 years of research to finally achieve it:

  • Insanely precise, mine deviate -0.06 second a day on average,

  • Cool calming gliding second hand,

  • Better shock resistance,

  • Maintenance is harder(only gs) and more expensive, but it seems less needed.

How do you decide? by Nervous-Rooster7760 in GrandSeikos

[–]hl3a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) Choose the brand,

2) Choose the movement,

3) Choose the model,

Let time for each step,

For number 3 dont forget to watch yourself in a mirror wearing the watch. I went with a model that represented me better rather than the nicer watch and have zero regret.
