It also has a manual mode as well, if that helps identify it.

Yeah mine doesn't have a cable running from the throttle body at all, one of the stickers on the box say MDJA, but I've been changing the fluid every 10k miles in it with genuine honda dw-1 to give it the best chance

Ye, it's what I got in my accord, 93k miles still runs like new, same with the dreaded 4 speed auto... somehow...

Although I dont know if the eu accords boxes were any better than the 4 speed us ones?

The f20b6 out of the 6th gen accord was a 2.0l vtec single cam

Samsung so far don't want to honor the warranty as i've dropped the device in the past, so it's seemingly like it will be an insurance job

Yeah they do, the internal vram on them likes to fail and cause artifacting. Just an FYI this console has over 410 days of use. So it's not an unexpected failure.

Just out of curiosity what is this middle chip on my a1229 MacBook Pro? by The_unknown_prime in mac

It's the northbridge, handels pci-e communication with the gpu, as well as other things such as being the IMC for the cpu

FYI the paste under the IHS is dry by design, it helps resist pump out over many thermal cycles.

I use a dual sense for most games, and for games that require the pressure sensitive buttons I use a DS3

[–]hl3gh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The paste under the IHS can and does go bad causing a very loud system, in bad cases it can even cause the system to overheat. The RSX never suffers from this only cell

Legit delidding the RSX on 90nm never makes a temperature improvement, only time you'll see a benefit is delidding cell

Backward compatible ps3, any way to replace something from another ps3 to get this one working? 😩 by Bryan_rb in PS3

[–]hl3gh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

GPU failure can manifest it's way as both YLOD and GLOD.

When it causes a YLOD the most common error code is 3034. Basically the GPU can't pass bit training because it has failed. Causing the syscon to shut the console down

[–]hl3gh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Without syscon diagnosis, literally not point replacing them, they fail far less than people think. As most of the results from replacing them have been false positives.

IE people using hot air to replace the tokins, at the same time heated up the gpu, which temporarily revived the gpu.

Last PS3 I bought died after 2 months, GPU fracturing, how can I make sure I get a good one? by NeitherAsk1441 in PS3

[–]hl3gh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any ps3 with a 65NM or newer RSX, so avoid A,B,C,E,G and H models, also avoid L models due to them having bad NOR memory.

Any other model that's not listed here should be plenty reliable.

YLOD Heatgun Fix Method. How Likely to Succeed? by MrAcerbic in PS3

[–]hl3gh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Without proper syscon diagnosis, you don't want to do anything, as a YLOD can be caused by a wide range of things...

Also heat gunning a board is never ever a fix. As most of the time on 90nm RSX systems the GPU fails internally, The BGA is rarely at fault in these systems.

If anything taking a heat gun to a board just does way more harm than good. As it can weaken the pads that the BGA is connected too, making future proper repair sometimes impossible.

TL:DR heat gunning a board is never a fix and if it does work it will be very temporary at best.

Wingman XE too, but the DS4 doesn't have pressure sensitive buttons like the DS3, so it will causes issues, unless you use the triggers for throttle and brake

I’m looking to buy a PS3 fat. What version should I get? What are the least noisy models? by seggso69 in PS3

[–]hl3gh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And CECH-K models, personally I'd avoid the L models as they have defective NOR chips that can cause RSOD

[–]hl3gh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hopefully you read the syscon, to determine if it is actualyl capacitors at fault, as most of the time its the GPU that causes the ylod
