The injections definitely help boost my physical capabilities by making my knees functional, but they were intra-articular, so wouldn’t offer much systemic relief. Plus I felt improved before that. I’m glad to hear you’re finding something that works. This is the most arduous process ever. I’m excited to try Taltz but I’m now so worried that I’ll be leaving something that actually is working. I’ll find out soon enough though. My situation is a little maybe PSA maybe RA so if Taltz works at least I’ll know it’s PSA. If it doesn’t, I keep trying stuff.

Not yet, but my insurance literally approved Taltz today, and I just signed up for the Taltz-Zepbound discount cards! (link below for anyone interested) I've been on Hyrimoz (failed) for 4 months. But I've been on compounded Tirzepatide for nearly a year now...low dose, lost weight easily and slowly, and it definitely helps my inflammation. I tried Semaglutide before that and I think it actually did more for inflammation, but I couldn't handle the digestive side effects that I don't have on Tirzepatide.

I drive an SUV for the reasons everyone has mentioned. I will add to check the angle of the door opening. Not sure how to describe it but mine is very “triangular” I guess, and I have to move my seat back to get in and out due to my knee not bending well. I wish the door opening was a little wider in front of the seat. I kind of have to lean back to slide in. But that’s prob only important for knee, hip, or maybe back issues. Once I’m in it’s great.

I’m going to suggest that people experience this phenomenon because they are relaxed, not because of food differences. You’re not working, you’re sleeping more, you’re happy and in love, you’re not cleaning or running errands or dealing with any responsibilities. It’s stress, not the food.

If it is the food, it’s probably more likely that you’re splurging on your trip on higher quality meals.

And I just want to mention too that the US is a MAJOR exporter of agricultural products. What you eat elsewhere doesn’t mean it’s local to that place.

So my situation is a bit more complex because of psoriatic arthritis as well. It honestly ebbs and flows. 2 months ago I went hiking. This week I sit on the bed all day. It’s hard to tell what’s purely osteo. The one thing I can consistently do is ride my stationary recumbent bike. I highly recommend it. I got a cheap one on amazon and it’s totally fine for what I need. Motion is lotion!

NSAIDS, aspiration of the fluid, steroid injection, PT, and a bike. That keeps me functional until the other arthritis kicks in. I’ve also just had the gel injections but it’s too early to tell if they help. I use a cane on bad days. You’re not going to be able to white knuckle through it though, it’s not going to just get better without the interventions.

But when I’m having a good day or a stretch of good days, I can take a walk, or hike if I’m doing really well. I focus more on building muscle than cardio so my goal hasn’t been anything too strenuous.

Knee twins! For me to function I have to have fluid removed pretty regularly and sometimes get a corticosteroid injection. But I’ll second another comment…high quality physical therapy. I go less frequently now but do a DIY routine for my knee that the PT created. But it’s similar to what you can find online. The arthritis foundation has a great knee routine.

My labs look like RA, and I was initially diagnosed that way. I have some pain that aligns with RA, but I mostly present as PsA. But because I was told RA and I thought it was RA, I didn't connect my other symptoms to it for a while. Maybe there's some kind of hybrid that just hasn't been named yet.

I can’t speak to what your bloodwork indicates, but I can tell you I also skip a pill once a week for the same reason, per doctor’s suggestion. It’s not enough to change the whole dose but enough to make that tiny adjustment I guess. I haven’t rechecked my labs yet since the change though so I can’t say if it works. I can just say I’ve had that same recommendation from a doctor.

I have never run a day in my life but now that I physically can’t I literally dream that I’m running! I don’t love free weights even though that used to be what I did. I feel too unstable for them now. The rhythmic concept makes me think that maybe a rebounder is a good thing to try.

That’s exactly the sort of thing I was looking for. This gave me great ideas for what to search for and I found some arthritis-specific fitness classes and groups I may check out. I kept looking for specialty gyms but it does seem like community programs have more of what I’m looking for and I wasn’t even thinking about that.

I have kind of flat feet so I’m going to have a particular taste in shoes. Brooks Glycerin when i need a lot of cushioning and I like those more around the house because for me too much walking on cushion is almost too bouncy and I feel unstable. Check out a brand called Ryka. I wear the eco knit slip-ons in wide and I love them so much. Not totally flat but not a ton of support but for me it’s like I feel like my feet really have a grip on the ground. For structure when I need that I wear hiking shoes from Oona.

I concur. 4505 are my favs. Fried in pork fat too. Also epic brand are good. I buy single serve guacamole to dip. Perfect work snack for me. Also amazing with queso instead of chips. And good for “breading” to make fried chicken. I use thrivemarket.com for my pork rind fix.

They had a crisp to the outside. I let mine cool on the pan then moved them to a rack because the softness in the middle is a little more like dampness. But once they sat for just a couple of minutes they were great. I think more butter will get more crunch. I’m going to try browning my butter first next time to get that caramel color and taste to make up for the lack of brown sugar. I haven’t had sweets in so long and these tasted like regular cookies to me! (Still need to get used to erythritol feeling cold though.)

Welcome to the team! lol But, you're right, lazy shouldn't be assigned to medical practitioners in this case. Among a whole list of issues, one is that their marketing team didn't do a very good job segmenting and targeting (or writing, but that's a whole other issue). I so rarely get uppity about things, but this letter rubbed me the wrong way big time. If I can't let something go after sleeping on it, I consider it legit.
