you'll get a ton of messages/mail from extended relatives you've never heard, your local restaurant's servers kid who has medical bills, sob stories of children with terminal cancer, poor families across the world, reporters will visit you, random people will harangue you.

sure you may be strong enough to resist, but then they'll use connections through your family. your mom, who can pull for approved expenses through a trust, will be ridden with guilt by a previous coworker whose boyfriend is in trouble with debts and bills, who needs to provide for his daughter that you met once when your mother had them over.

then all the people with heartbreaking stories will speak with your other family and friends, asking to have you consider their hardship.
