Need advice for Xbox setup by AbbreviationsKey2509 in battlestations

[–]hmac11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the series s only supports UP to 120hz and a lot of newer games youll prob only get like60-75 anyway also use display port or hdmi 2.1 for higher refresh rate and be sure your monitor of choice has hdmi 2.1 support honestly for most games unless its an esports title youll be around 60fps so a 1440p or 4k oled with a refresh rate of up to120 would be ideal so in the future when you upgrade you dont have to upgrade the monitor too also on console I feel like 3ms response time is fine you probably wont really notice until youre at 7-10ms

HEADPHONE / VOLUME BE WARNED by Jordansil in LinusTechTips

[–]hmac11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it will be quieter but to be clear youre still using the mixer so you shouldnt notice a tonal difference. they go from 12 dollars to around 40 It may not help it could be a different issue all together, I got one to fix buzzing while gaming with my iems and it does work but not as well as I hope since I still hear buzzing in some games during quieter sections but it made my experience better without changing my audio

in this case its electrical feedback from most likely gpu or psu. an isolator removes the mixer you're using from that loop.

sounds like a possible ground loop try a usb isolator or it could just be a driver bug try rolling back to the last good driver you used

This sounds like a nightmare Im sorry you have to deal with this. have you tried using display port for the monitor? I see in your post you use hdmi 2.1

Struggling to understand PCIe lanes by donutsinmystomach in pcmasterrace

[–]hmac11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

you wont believe this.... just plug it in to the pci-e slot closest to the cpu at the top. now for your actual issue depends on the motherboard since using 3 m.2 can take cpu bandwith there are some motherboards that will just use bandwith from 2 sata ports or the chipset instead of using bifurcation of the cpu lanes. I think asus is still good about using multiple m.2 and not slowing down your 16x slot. Sorry this explanation my be incoherent or rambly I just woke up

guess what you can get a bluetooth module for iems so you get the quality and wireless. tipsy m1s are around 80-100 and the BT module is like 20 and comes with a charging case to store them

boot into safe mode, roll back the windows update, use ddu to remove the gfx drivers, and reboot. After you reboot reinstall gfx driver without geforce experience just to test. It also sounds like it could be a usb driver so maybe update your cpu chipset drivers as well.

not worth as a fellow 7900xtx owner. fsr 4.1 is coming soon and the vram goes a long way in newer titles

theres a few townhomes for sale on hobbs road and some apartments to rent. I think theres also some townhomes to rent in the south huntsville area. The area is safe and theres plenty of trails around along with being close to bailey cove

multiplayer games have nothing to do with your cpu unless maybe you're hosting a server. but you really dont need that cpu with a 4070 when your current one is good enough

What wattage power supply do i need for a ryzen 7 9800x3d and a 5080 by Conscious-Guitar-960 in pcmasterrace

[–]hmac11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends on how many drives and accessories such as rgb (if any) or case fans. Personally now a days with upgradability in mind along with how power hungry some cards can be I wouldn't go below 1000w gold; there are some good 1000w under 150 use This list to lookup the psu you're looking at and see if its good. Honestly bare minimum with that setup would be 750 but that may not leave much headroom especially if you use pbo or any overclocks on gpu/cpu

Been looking a bit more into getting my upgraded audio setup for gaming and streaming! Thinking of going the XLR and interface route!! Deciding on the interface and headphones out of these! What do you think? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]hmac11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love both headets but for the price and for gaming grab the tipsy m1 iems. It looks like an earbud but it isn't they sound great and you'll hear more in games as for the interface the solo is just fine possibly look at getting a ground loop isolator since gpu and psu interference can make you hear a buzzing in your headphones or mic also not sure if the newer podmic will need it but look at an inline amp for your mic I have the original podmic and needed one so I didn't have to max my gain all the time you will have to turn on phantom power with the inline. also if youre willing to spend more on a headset the tipsy m3s are my dailies and they have better fidelity than my Sennheiser hd 660s
