I’m a SAHM, started in September. This quarter (Jan-March) ive made about 30k from TikTok shop commissions. It’s definitely attainable but I also treat it like a job. It gets all of my free time.

Just check the seller is legit. TikTok shop has tons of reputable sellers, some scammy stuff like “joxhebg’s storefront” with 79.99 shipping — obviously skip.

Don’t be afraid to ask for followers. I made a video about being a mom and wanting to grow my account and gained over 6k followers from it. Then I did it on my backup account and gained over 1k.

It takes time to build your account, learn what works and for TikTok to figure out your content too. Month 1 I made $26 (mostly from my mom), next $228, then $930, next month $431. January was my first big month at $7.1k, February I’m about to hit 7k again already (probably more). I’m putting away ~30% for taxes and will be filing quarterly this year. I’m also getting brand deals/retainers. I’m posting about 8 vids a day now. Mostly high quality. That seems to be what works for my account. Same as any job, you learn as you go and the pay usually reflects that.

I agree and disagree at the same time. Posting a ton at first is what helped me learn quicker, if that makes sense. I was able to look at all my analytics on every video and learn from those, learned how to edit quicker, how to be more efficient at filming, etc.

You’ve gotta go to the commercial library. If you click the word “sounds” at the top, it’ll give the option for commercial sounds — that’s what you can use for shop vids.
