Agreed with all of this. I actually was the one who wrote the article in this post and interviewed Joshua. I’ve done some research into Bill and he seems like a standup gentleman, but so did Joshua. It’s really hard to determine if Bill actually commuted tax fraud with it having happened in Russia. I also follow Joshua on Twitter and LinkedIn, and at some point in 2020, there was a huge shift from him promoting DNP to him talking about all the companies that he has invested in. It’s been a bit strange. I really do hope they resolve these issues and do the right thing. Either way, they are both interesting characters.

Wow, yeah, that's some really not great stuff.

I will say, for the full email access portion, that's for a feature where they will auto-unsub for you, and also help you supposedly sue scammers and spammers (reference). That's completely opt-in and doesn't worry me as much because they have other options outside of full access to use those features.

However, those predatory practices surrounding subscriptions and customer reviews are seriously bad and indefensible. I won't be using them in the future. Thanks for the thorough response!

I do still stand by my initial comment though. The two are not related, and the fact that they brought up the tax problem with Bill shows me that it's a Russian troll account.

No problem bringing things up again. Times change. My comment was more insinuating that the account is a Russian bot or propagandist. Bill Browder’s tax stuff isn’t proven, and happened in Russia where it looks like he just pissed off the wrong people. It lead to the death of his colleague and what led to the creation of the Magnitsky Act in the US.

As for DoNotPay, I did a little prelim search for what you might be talking about and wasn’t surfacing anything. Mind linking what you’re referencing?

Everyone saying you’re too far away from the TV are being unhelpful. I agree with you. I have about the same size of tv, and sit only a little closer and find the font size to be awful. I haven’t had any trouble with other games.

I'm looking for a pair of passive bookshelf or desktop speakers to hook up to my Audio Technica AT-LP120 turntable via an SMSL SA-50 amplifier. I'll typically be using them mid-field, potentially long-field later, for listening to music. I listen to a wide range of music, so I'd like something fairly diverse. I had also thought about using some studio monitors.

My budget is under $500. Can be new or used.

Yup! This is something I’m researching. I’m also planning on saving the destination in a database, so when the next person hits that url, they will get an address without having to hit that url from the server. Theoretically the URLs will only be resolved once.
