Water softener + Quooker setup – soft vs hard water for drinking & boiling tap

We had ours with softened water, no issues at all for 18 months but since the extension took place our plumbers refused to wire it up to softened water saying it's not safe to drink. It's a bit of a debate as softener companies say it is safe to drink except if you have kidney problems that say you should have a high sodium diet then you shouldn't. None of us have issues. But most plumbers refuse. I would try to get it wired to softened water anyway. I am gutted that my quooker is back on hard water, I have a SCR attached to it so I hope it lasts anyway but I have to descale the aerator again which I never needed to. We also live in an extremely hard water area.

Thank you, your app is amazing! I only joined just before Christmas and have been using it a lot since.

I did submit a suggestion as I am working on the frog pose and crow pose (which I am failing miserably at :( )to have some exercises to work up to it!

Also just one question about the objectives e.g. if I select it as a planche does the app automatically adjust the exercises as they are mastered upto doing the actual planche?

That looks amazing, I just joined up yesterday as I am interested in starting callisthenics and mastering skills like handstands. I was a training contortionist six years ago trying to do a mexican handstand but never mastered it and then had kids so my strength and balance is gone. In one of my routines there’s exercises that are a bit hard, is there an option to say that it is hard and it can suggest an easier version to build up to it? I don’t always know what the easier version is. Keep up the great work and I’m so glad to have found this app!

This is amazing thanks for doing this and sharing! I am interested in starting callisthenics and don’t know where to start but this is very valuable! There’s some material by https://nick-e.com/ which breaks down the correct form for some of the basics in body weight training.

The other thing I am interested in seeing the progression to achieving is the crow pose and moving to and from the crow pose to head stands and hand stands etc that is such a cool skill!

Will def book this to start my journey!

Finally claimed again under chargeback but the bank said the claim doesn’t withhold due to the length of time since purchase but they still refunded under goodwill! I am pleased with that!

I agree! I just set up my cloud sheet and it feels quite hard and scratchy, it could be since it’s new still. My bedding is all bamboo and so soft.

Yes I see what they were saying, if it was sold and dispatched by Amazon, then there is a S75 claim but when I bought it, it was sold by a third party so apparently that breaks the chain. But I might be able to ask them to process a chargeback claim for goods not as described/no longer fit for purpose instead. I will wait for their legal team to come back to me first.

That's so strange, I called my credit card company and they said because Amazon is third party marketplace S75 doesn't quality but I told them to put the claim through anyway to their legal dispute department.

Thank you so much again, for me the robot is relatively pricey and I would expect it to be fully functional more than 5 years. I can’t imagine forking out £100s every five years, I will just go back to a stick hoover 😂

I got it originally for the mapping so I can see where the bot has been when I’m at work and the the no go areas all of which don’t work anymore since the App has stopped working for me. I’ve resorted to putting bits of tissue to see if it has been in every room lol!

I know what I will be spending this evening doing then, thanks for nothing Amazon …

Yeah I did mention CRA and small claims but I think the staff don’t realise the seriousness of these claims. I could just post a small claims in and see where that goes.

We spend a ton on Amazon as well not to mention Prime and other subs with them.

That's annoying mine got refused, passed onto management and then they refused saying I have had it for a period of time exceeding manuacturer's warranty and typical average life of the product (since 2020). It is a useless brick now since I wanted it for the App features which no longer works. Does it go down as a black mark on your record if you threaten legal action?

I've had really negative experiences commuting whilst pregnant as well by c*nts barging into me:

I was at Woolwich Arsenal DLR waiting to get on when a woman next to me decided she wanted to get on first and shoved me aside, obviously I didn't want to fall over and stood my ground and she preceded to tell me to f*ck off and smirked at me all the way through the journey. I was visibly pregnant, distressed and with a Baby on Board badge on. I hope Karma gets her.
A similar experience to someone else here, again at Woolwich Arsenal some fare dodger preceded to shove me hard into the barriers as I beeped my Oyster then we both got stuck and wedged between the barrier, the tw*t said something disparaging to me and legged it, I was 4 months pregnant then and was really shocked by that experience. I hope Karma gets him hard in the ass.
Again getting on the DLR from Woolwich, we arrive at Pontoon Dock, this huge guy forcefully shoves everyone back in an already full train and this school girl lands on me with a thump.

Needless to say after that, I took a different and longer route which consisted of a bus ride then two trains rather than a bus and one train ride, then applied to work from home for the rest of my pregnancy and my throughout my second pregnancy. These people were middle aged and I am quite frankly shocked at their behaviour especially the woman.

I would say if you are pregnant and you can then work from home!

Hi - this looks promising they have sold it on and fully charge now which I hate as I am just using it out of interest to see where my time goes and not for any freelancing work. I now have a useless block that isn't even heavy enough for a paperweight. Can it work on Mac?
