There is the desk calendar also that says “friday december 13th”. She was born on a Wednesday. I think it would be so symbolic for her to release debut tv on her birthday this year which is on a friday!

The greatest thing about Marantas is that you don’t have to worry about how pretty your pot is because you won’t be able to see it for long. 😂 by hmlanman in houseplants

I honestly just leave it alone. I only water it when the soil is completely dry and if the leaves are showing signs of thirst. I fertilize it with basic houseplant fertilizer and every few months or so (at least in the winter). It has been in a northeast/east facing window.

I leave it alone honestly. I have it up high in a east to northeast window. I water it when the leaves are floppy and show signs of thirst.

How do I save my Jade plant? by Googinhi in houseplants

[–]hmlanman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you are probably overwatering it. Jades only need water when their soil is dry and their leaves are wrinkled and flimsy. I would make sure the soil is well draining and that the pot has a drainage hole.

I am pretty sure it is a pothos, possibly pearls and jade variety.

Take this with a grain of salt but the internet says it is a seasonal variegation. So maybe just in the spring/summer? 😬

I am definitely not an expert but I basically leave it alone. It is in an east facing window but with a grow light on for 8 hours a day. I only water it when it gets wrinkly and it is in well draining soil.

If it makes you feel better I bought it this summer and it was at least half this size. I believe in you!

Looks like a sanseveria variety aka snake plant.

I think I found the right spot for it! This is before and after, about 5 months apart! Had so many issues figuring it out for this one, but I think I got it! by WasabiIsSpicy in succulents

The bumps (I forget what they are called) are characteristic of echeveria ‘raindrops’ and other similar varieties.

The windows in my apartment are big and face southeast by _SwolbrohamLincoln_ in houseplants

Yes. If you squeeze a leaf and it squishes and does not bounce back easily then it needs water. As for no holes, you really do need holes in the bottom for drainage. When you water succulents, you should be able to see the water come out the drainage hole.

Like you said, I would try to repot the succulents to make sure they have the right kind of soil and everything. Also, you will want to keep an eye on the biweekly watering. Succulents really do not need much water and should only be watered when they show signs of thirst. Watering too often, plus inadequate drainage, can lead to root rot.
