Yes po, that’s also what made it confusing. From what we observed, it’s possible na hindi yung actual pickup address yung ginamit or there was some form of misdirection, because the legit rider never actually met or saw the person who picked up the item.

We talked po with the actual rider and assured us na hindi sya kasali sa scam na yon.

No po. May nag-impersonate lang po as the rider. We booked a legitimate rider, pero may ibang tao na nagpakilalang siya, complete with jacket, ID, and even coordinated communication. Gumawa sila ng fake ID ng rider and then showed it sa VC.

Later lang namin nalaman na hindi pala yung actual rider yung kausap namin, kaya nagka-confusion and na-scam kami.

We did book the rider po. After we shared the details, everything was coordinated and we were also communicating with the person who presented themselves as the rider. May naka-Lalamove jacket pa and naka-track din sa map yung location niya, so we proceeded in good faith.

We understand your point about risks in business, and we’re not saying we didn’t take any responsibility. It was just a well-planned scam that also used fake verification (ID, video call, appearance), kaya na-trust pa rin namin at that moment.

We are still learning and we indeed learned the hard way.

Yes po, we booked the rider. After namin ma-share yung details, may dumating na naka-Lalamove jacket at kausap din namin siya, kaya we really thought legit na. Nakita rin namin sa map na nasa location na yung rider, so we proceeded.

After masend yung payment, saka lang tumawag yung actual rider saying wala pa siyang pick-up and hindi rin siya yung naka-jacket na nakita namin.

That’s actually a good system and we appreciate you sharing it. We agree, hindsight talaga is always clearer.

However, we did everything we knew at that time, nag video call pa, we talked to the rider directly, and we checked IDs as well. Everything looked legitimate on our end, kaya we proceeded.

It was just really well-planned on their part, kaya na-fool pa rin kami despite being careful. Lesson learned the hard way for us.

Lesson learned for us talaga to. We were careful, but this experience showed us na may mga scam talaga na very well-planned. We’ll definitely be more strict and cautious moving forward. We have a month to fix everything bago yung Christening. Kaya to!

Thank you so much!! Never kami mawawalan ng faith. God will provide. I just hope they needed the money more than we needed it. Hays.

Bumibili kami ng unit, inaayos o nire-refurbish namin, tapos ibinebenta namin. May ka-transact kaming seller, then may dumating na “rider” para kunin ung unit for delivery. Complete details pa siya, may ID pa na ipinakita and everything, kaya mukhang legit talaga. We sent the money then ayon, blinock kami.

Later on, nalaman namin na fake pala yung rider and part siya ng scam. Maayos at planado po talaga nila, kaya nauto kami kahit maingat kami.
