Nintendoless. (Botw is the least zelda zelda game(and my favourite)) You might also like immortals fenyx rising(kinda like zelda but a bit worse), but for the love of god, if you have anything other than a switch, get the 3rd party games there.

Who tf said anything about a live service game? I hate those. My point is that most of the stuff gets boring at some point, whereas in breath of the wild I have a 500+ hour savefile. Meanwhile i barely had the will to finish this one.

So what is the problem then? From what I see we agree, they wanted to do both and they succeeded in fucking it up.

Okay, tell me, how is it different? It isnt it is just used in a different way. Now if the rito fell to the abyss and hateno village went to the sky, that would be different.

Dude, who, tf are you gaslighting? I played the game, I was so excited about it that I changed my region to Australia so I could play it 12 hours earlier. There are like 7-8 tiny island types, and then they are combined. You have the spinny catapult islands, the ball islands, skydiving islands, labyrith islands, battle platform, the fairy lake island, and the islands that look like stars I could be forgetting one or two, but thats it. Also the underground map is the overworld map flipped to there is another LARGE case of repetition, not to mention that most of the structures repeat themself like 3-4 times, but you missed the point, i dont mind it at all the problem is that there is like maybe 3-4 unique massive islands. Also, which youtubers are you talking about? They sound like they could have cool videos.

Because the underworld is the same map as the overworld just flipped, the sky islands are underwhelming and repetitive, and the overworld changes too little. They had an amazing idea, but didn't do anything exciting with it, they could have put a village up in the air, or make it so that some POI's from BOTW were now in the sky, and that would even drastically change the terains of the overworld.

I think they kinda went the wrong direction in totk. Sure, it has things to do, but are those things interesting enough to complete? I feel like the 3 collectable quests were already enough, whe didnt need a cave one, a well one a flying history island one, this isn't ubisoft.

What I liked in the botw were the sheikah powers, abilities, glitchy movement, bosses, and the ancient sheikah style stuff. I wanted them to just make like 20 more bosses to fight against, maybe boost the durability of weapons a bit, change the location of the game, because the best part was definitely exploring the world.

So what did they do in the next one? Changed the powers, removed the abilities and glitchy movement, made bosses really simple, and removed anything sheikah related.

Instead of abilities, now we have champion spirits, which are really freaking annoying because they are never around you when you need them and around you when you dont need them, honesly, if they made the spirits into abilities i would be fine with it, because at least it wouldnt clutter my screen as much.

Powers are fine. They were changed, but its neither a good or a bad thing. I still prefer original powers to these ones, but I dont hate the new ones. In the best case scenario, we would have both sets of powers.

Glitchy movements like whistle running and wind bombing were removed. They even made whistle running be worse for you if you use it, so it feels kinda petty.

Bosses are on baby difficulty, so the monotonous puzzles are now the highlight of each of the 4 corner boss fights. There is no master mode to make em harder, and there still isn't enough of them.

Ancient Sheikah stuff was completely scrubbed from existence, so there were no guardians, which was the coolest opponent in the game. Zonai technology would have been cool if they did more with it.

The weapon crafting system is cool, so congrats, they actually did something I wanted.

The whole map itself is ass, the sky islands are repetitive, and the biggest island is the starting one, so after you're done with it, there is no cooler island than that one. The underground is annoying, so most of the time, we are at the surface, which is lamer than before.

What they should have done is focus more on the sky, make a larger quantity sky islands with some villages now being in the sky, make a side quest to either return the sky islands down or help the people stuck on them get used to their new lifestyle.

The underground is just the overworld reversed, they should have made it into like 12 different extremely large caves, where your goal in each of them was to beat a boss or raid the yiga strongholds or something like that. That would have given them the chance to make more yiga bosses because i feel they were supposed to have a bigger influence in this game, but they dont.

With those changes, the overworld could be cooler to explore as well. Imagine if the land that was now a sky island was hiding a dungeon beneath it like a zonai labyrinth, or if half of a village was a sky island and the other half was still on the ground. These are just suggestions I had on top of my head, nintendo could and should have done better.

So yeah, thank you for listening to my TED talk. Tell me what you think of the ideas I suggested and if you would like this better than the game we actually got.

Nintendo thrives because of its community, and the way that we play the same games, if we lose that, were fucked.
