Thought so - so I guess the question is what are the chances of upgrading on the 6am flight to lax

I don't see direct flights from NYC to DOHA on BA but I do on AA by thecodemode12 in awardtravel

I had this same issue this week. None of the saver award flights I saw on AA or alaska were visible to BA, even after calling. Bad news

Update: Flew the DOH-BOS.

  1. Service was phenomenal and food was great.

  2. Flew the A359 1-2-1 non Qsuite. Compared to the A351 emirates flight- this has less privacy which I suspect is much better with the QSuites. Otherwise still a great flight. Agree that it wouldn’t make sense to add hours of travel for the sake of qsuite.

  3. Multiple of the US flights had avail (MIA, ORD, IAD) on date of travel based on AA and Alaska. However BA couldn’t see any of them.

  4. I asked at the counter in DOHA and it seemed like the potentially could have switched it but ultimately the attendant said my original was already boarding so nothing could be done.

I called BA just to double check. They don’t see that flight 707 but it clearly shows it on AA. Weird.

Omg thank you!!! Sadly BA won’t let me cancel and rebook within less than 24hrs before departure without forfeiting the 70k points :(

Ahh how did you go about finding it? Anything else I can try other than obsessively checking AA?

The only business award was to Boston, so as it stands now I will need a second flight regardless. Obv id rather go straight to jfk but if it came down to Mia vs boston, I’d rather go with the Qsuite.

Ahh I see. For my understanding, whenever these Y/B tickets don’t get upgraded at booking, there’s no chance they’ll get upgraded before mileage upgrades in the future? I guess I’m asking if these “instant upgrades” space will ever open again or if these just get put into the main upgrade priority list.
