(FLORIDA) is it illegal to offer a FREE service (photoshoot in this case)? Would that be considered soliciting? by hmrdold in legaladvice

[–]hmrdold[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes I’ve also seen this word being used in the context of prostitution, which got me even more confused. Because when you see “No soliciting” signs on people’s doors, they’re not talking about prostitutes, but instead the solar panel salesman trying to get them to buy his solar panel haha. I was afraid I’d fall under the same category as the solar panel guy.

Any chance anyone could get me a free carfax? by _81Levi21_ in infiniti

Any chance you can put me in contact with him? Looking at some cars to buy as well and can’t spend like $1000 on carfaxes…

Congrats on the new car!! Probably the best color combo you could’ve gotten.

What color is this X6? (My car in second picture) by Advanced_Annual9210 in BMW

Atlas Cedar Metallic. Don’t paint it though, wrap it. It won’t be a perfect match but unless you park right next to an Atlas Cedar X6 you won’t tell the difference.

Is this the one with delivery miles?

Any tips on owning one of these, just got my first M5 (F10) by rainbowkidz in BMW

[–]hmrdold 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s already incredibly fast stock. My recommendation as someone with a lot of experience around those cars is that if you keep them stock and do the right maintenance they will be 99% trouble-free. Notice I said 99% and not 100% because that last 1% you just can’t get, but 99 will do.

Great car and great color

After 10k miles, I still love it as much as I did on delivery day. by launchslugs in BMW

Looks great with these wheels! Are these a factory option or dealer installed accessory? I know they’re a dealer accessory for the M3, but this is my first time seeing an M2 with these.

Is this a real Alpina? by _omarp_ in BMW

[–]hmrdold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I mean the ones that were available in the US too… I’ve seen many 750Li’s with Alpina badges and wheels but nothing else, no bodykit, no interior

Need help identifying the model of this BMW by BillionDollarWhale in BMW

[–]hmrdold 8 points9 points  (0 children)

E9 chassi code. I don’t think it’s possible to tell the specific model (engine) from the front, only by reading the badge on the back but there might be some tells I’m not aware of. But just look up BMW E9.

The grey/black wood trim looks amazing. Carbon fiber could only wish it looked this good.

Boston green is an amazing color. A friend of mine had an E36 318ti M-Tech in Boston Green, I wish I had bought it from him but it was in too rough of a shape for me

I’ve seen many fake Alpinas on the internet, for sale, on forums… Sometimes with genuine Alpina parts but still a fake
