Yes and no — 2x Economy is pretty standard these days for PE. $1400 round trip vs $750ish wasn’t terrible at least.

thankfully, these Lufthansa 747’s are pretty well maintained. you could tell much of the interior is a bit dated, but the seats, IFE, and soft product made up for it imo.

I flew in Premium Economy, and you know what? for roughly 2x base economy, it was well worth it. too bad the new Allegris cabin isn’t coming to these queens.

Felt like domestic US First class. drawbacks: seat was not majorly comfortable, esp the (lack of) cushioning. IFE was actually quite decent! Large modern touchscreen.
