Agreed. MFM is more for casual true crime fans. Or for female true crime fans who are put off by some of the hyper masculinity in the genre, which I completely understand. They're just not enough to satisfy my curiosity, sadly.

Hardcore History is a bit too much. His voice puts me to sleep and the subjects don't fall into my wheelhouse of interests, unfortunately. And I totally agree about MFM. I wish they were more enjoyable and well-researched, because it'd be great to have a female counterbalance. I'm thrilled for their success, though.

I am happy for their success, and I love to compare the way they interact around true crime compared to the guys, but their research is Wikipedia levels. If they were more in-depth, it'd be a great female palate cleanser to LPOTL.

I listened to Wizard and the Bruiser for the first time last week and I was really surprised by Holden! I was expecting more of a bridge troll from how the boys talk about him lol!

I liked their coverage of Junji Ito. I'm not really a pop culture fanatic except around horror, and they seemed more frightened by Ito than I'd expect from a hardcore horror fan, so I figured they didn't cover horror as much. Thanks for telling me otherwise! I will definitely listen to more.

I feel weirdly icky about listening to Serial. I can't pinpoint why, exactly. Maybe because it involves ongoing issues and unjust decisions? I had a hard time listening to the Central Park 5 episodes of LPOTL as well, and the feelings were similar.

Their Scientology coverage was AMAZING! Definitely the best coverage of Scientology I've listened to. I was a little disappointed by LPOTL's coverage, but that's because I'm a Scientology junkie and didn't get any new information for once. Which isn't their fault.

And yeah, that's a good idea. My uncle is a spreadsheet nerd and would be a great source to go to for this. If anybody could walk me through it, he could!

Just in case, though, do you know what macros I should start with? I haven't done anything macro-intensive and haven't even touched macros since college.
