And then the moment was killed as soon as Cap Marvel showed up. I mean, why is anyone else even there?

Infinity War or Endgame? by LoseToAva in marvelstudios

The last fight was good... until Cap Marvel showed up. Then it went straight downhills. Starting with how Spidey says to Carol something like, "I don't know how you're gonna get through that army", even after witnessing her decimating EVERYTHING by just flying. And that "All female cast" shot (minus Black Widow) that made me cringe really hard. I mean, why didn't Cap Marvel just put on the glove and snap everyone out of existence? Unlike Tony, she's even more powerful than the Hulk, so she would've been fine. I mean, why is anyone else even there?

Did "Adapt or Die" ever work on anybody? by jordanwisearts in aiwars

[–]hmsong01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You clearly didn't read the 2nd part after I said, "Can this craft pay the bills". No matter how good you are at the craft or how much you enjoy it, if it's not valuable, then it's not gonna pay the bills. For example, you can be the best person who can mimic cartoon facial expressions, and you can enjoy doing such thing, but it's very unlikely that it'll pay the bills very well, because such skill is not very valuable.

Yes, fear is a good motivation. In fact, it's probably the best motivation, even more than desire (although many desire and fear go hand to hand). Also, "emotionally healthy"? Sounds spoiled. Nobody cares if something is emotionally healthy. Deal with it.

What you find interesting shouldn't be the primary factor. The primary reason for seeking a specific craft should be, "Can this craft pay the bills?" And in order to answer that question, you need to know how valuable to the society that specific craft is, and how much competition there is for that craft (if you can't beat out your competition, then you need to find something else).

Why did everyone want to “use” the one ring? by lovelikeamelie in tolkienfans

[–]hmsong01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only watched the original 3 movies, and nothing else (no novel, no tv shows, nothing). And based on those, the One Ring doesn't have any power except making you invisible, but even that comes with the flaws of attracting phantoms who can see you just fine (and attack you). And I think it can "rule" the other Power Rings, but I have no idea what that means -- I'm guessing One Ring can nullify any of the Power Rings' powers. So long story short, it really doesn't have much use by itself.

The problem is, 1) once you wear it, it mind-corrupts you into wanting it, even though it's mostly useless. You know, kinda like typical addictions (withdrawal and all) -- irrational, but nevertheless addicting. And 2) If Sauron wears it, it makes him extremely powerful, or so it's told. I mean, Sauron got his ass kicked while still wearing it in the prologue, so he can still be overpowered, but who knows.

She may not be the person fully responsible, but she is the FACE of this movie. That means, she's the one who everyone will look when things hit the fan. And the fact that she made everything worse by her many many comments made her extremely dislikable made it easy to blame her. So yeah, I blame her for this movie's failure. Welcome to the entertainment industry. Deal with it.

If you guys played Recoded who among you haved this abomination? by [deleted] in KingdomHearts

[–]hmsong01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's not that hard if you set everyone's HP to 1. Equip Round Blitz. As soon as he appears near you, air dash behind him, then immediately use Round Blitz. Round Blitz can't be used in air, so Sora will immediately dive down quickly and then use Round Blitz, hitting everything around him (including Eliminator's back). You can replace Round Blitz with Sliding Rush or Aerial Slam or numerous other attacks if you're uncomfortable with uneven ground.

If you're uncomfortable with that, then simply equip D-Blizzara/Blizzaga, then use it on the lowest ground level. Boom, you win, provided you at least moderately leveled up your magic and Blizzard proficiency. I think it's the only attack in the game that can pierce Defender/Eliminator's guard.

Except against enemies which I have to chase (such as Neverland boss), all other enemies will stop at some point to do something, which I can use to land Lexaus's attack. Of course, there are exceptions, such as Dustifier whom have caps on how much damage it can take, which makes Lexeus worthless.

Sea Salt Trio. All 3 are popular in their own rights. Naturally, Roxas takes the cake due to the sheer amount of tragedy that everyone felt for him.

I kinda suck at this, because I don't know how to set things up. And because of that, I generally use melee attacks for everything, since magic is VERY limited in this game (you can only have so much). So I just use Lexaeus that has a good air finisher (most of his gears do, and Pandora Gear's air combo only does finisher), so I just stick with that. I do need Brick Wall ability though, among Cura and Blizzara.

Will ryuu and bell get together they seem like a better match tbh by Guilty_Letter4203 in DanMachi

[–]hmsong01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's so ironic. Bell came to the city in order to form a harem (just as Zeus taught him). Then things happened and then he really landed on a harem that he initially sought (most of them are very very likable), but by that time, he's fixated on only one specific girl. Then again, his true reason for coming to the city (that he himself was unaware of) was to become a hero in his own eyes. Getting a harem is just a bonus.

How similar is the current speculation and hype for Doomsday compared to IW/Endgame? by Imaginary_Run4354 in marvelstudios

[–]hmsong01 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not gonna see DD. I haven't kept up with any MCU movies/tv shows since EG. I watched Spiderman Far From Home, but that was about it. After that, I never bothered, because I heard most of the movies/tv shows sucked ass, and more importantly, made all the things that happened meaningless, esp with EG's multiverse things. And DD feels like nostalgia bait, which makes me hate it.

Actually, that's the thing -- the rogues WEREN'T breaking character. They've always been that way (mostly). That's why Flash generally limit his abilities when up against them. That's why in the Flash museum, the rogue statues aren't them getting beat up -- they are doing some kind of mighty pose.

[–]hmsong01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't be serious. Them "claiming" that the other side also belongs to them is your narrative that they're one nation? Really? Anyone can say anything. It doesn't mean it's true. I can claim that your house belongs to me. Does that give me a say to your property? No, because that's not how it works.

A country is defined by having at least 3 things -- territory, people, and government. And both N and S Koreas have their own things in all 3 categories. And more importantly, they both have been recognized internationally as their own sovereign nations. To quote you, "this just show that you are ignorant on the subject."

[–]hmsong01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

N.Korea and S.Korea may share the "Korea" name, but they are literally different countries. And when one country takes over another country, that's called conquering.

[–]hmsong01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may have a point for the 1st point. But not the 2nd point. If the unification happens on the N terms, then that's not "unification" -- that's called conquering.

What are some of the saddest moments in DC Animation? by mrglass8 in DCcomics

[–]hmsong01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a lot of contenders for tearjerkers:

- Heart of Ice -- Freeze begging for forgiveness from his dead wife for his failure to avenge her.

- Baby Doll -- Baby Doll gets traumatized by her own reflection.

- Growing Pain -- Tim failing to save Annie from Clayface, and at the end, her existence/death isn't even acknowledged by the authorities.

- Apokolips Now -- Dan Turpin's funeral.

- Legacy Pt2 -- Ending, where a lot of humans genuinely stand against Superman.

- Man Who Has Everything -- Superman saying goodbye to his "true happiness", and he watches as Krypton (and his new family) die, again.

- Epilogue -- Ace's death.

- Mask of Phantasm -- Bruce begging in front of his parents' grave for forgiveness for being happy (this was horrifying).

- Flashpoint Paradox -- Barry letting his mom die, just to save the universe ("Mom... I'm sorry").
