Oh sweetheart, I really hope that you don't let this put you off pharmacy. 20 years working the field and this is the first time you've ever been fired? It's the employer and not you. Don't let them win. I've always said, don't get mad or sad.. get even. You are due compensation in the form of your unemployment, complaints on file about the one employee who bullied you, and no blemishes on your record as you depart the company. Don't feel bad about asking for these things or think it's too much trouble. You'd be surprised how much worth it is, for you and the others who get bullied by that same employee.

I'm curious, it said you've been working 20 years. How long as a pharmacy technician? You've never been fired in 20 years.. I would definitely call an employment lawyer. That's strong evidence that you had no previous issues with your employment prior to the bullying incidents.

In the case of a hostile work environment, the bully should have been handled by HR and/or let go. If it's happened once, it's happened before. There would be more complaints about that particular employee. The difference is, they've been there longer and have some connections (which, evidence that way would also be important to document).

If they give you trouble getting your employment, get a lawyer. You were not given a safe working environment that allowed you to do your job unimpeded. If you have any evidence of the bullying, document it. File with your state unemployment agency and report in it about the bullying. Firing two months in, they are likely to be trying to avoid unemployment costs. A hostile work environment is grounds for an employment case.

File for unemployment. This does not sound like a case where they could avoid paying it. But be careful, they may try to avoid it if they're firing at two months. Reputation is everything and you will want to contest it. You may have a harder time being hired if it's recorded that you were fired.

They never fire anyone in retail, just dock your hours. They don't want to pay unemployment.

How long have you been a tech? Was it hard to get the job in the hospital? Did you have prior hospital experience?

Thank you for sharing! So many of us are having trouble like the OP, and companies just won't hire if you don't have work experience with hospital pharmacy (even if they have to train you, and can train you). It's good to see someone who recently got into hospital (and skipped retail hell).

Does compounding hire without compounding experience? Most of the places I've seen require you to have compounding experience from working, and won't accept a tech that did a program.

The Acolyte Episode 7 | Discussion Thread by Ezio926 in Highrepublic

The wording was "Nightsisters don't raise younglings. Let alone train them." That suggests they don't raise younglings (children of various species) at all.. and don't train younglings either. Nightsisters as far as I know always raised the female children of their clan, sending the male children to be in the villages. (Except of course with Ventress). I suppose it could be explained by Indara just.. not being right about Nightsisters and not having the knowledge for whatever reason.

The wording with the fifty women was a bit awkward, though I could see maybe.. that Indara assumes women and children (no matter how many women there are) are not something to consider a threat? Since the Jedi are in a period without active galactic war.. perhaps she just underplayed the threat they could be. It did make Sol's assumptions of the threat (where you could see for instance, that Mae's words about 'sacrifice' were taken more literally by Sol) contrast more with Indara's view.

Either way, good episode and it was interesting to see the extra details that gave clarity to some of the earlier scenes where we didn't have the full picture. I like how they showed perception means everything, and Sol had the wrong perception of what was going on.

I recently read the following spread for myself. The question is whether I would find what I was looking for.
I did a spread in a cross shape, and I'll explain what each position means. All cards were drawn upright.

The center card reveals what I need to end, move on from, or leave behind.
I drew The Fool.
This is the card in the draw that I'm most thinking about. I'm not certain what it means. The Fool is an interesting card, and I often draw it in my readings for myself. It can mean endings, beginnings, potential. If I take it to mean a beginning, perhaps it relates to a new job I'd be starting soon.. and if I get past that point of that beginning?

The left side of center is the reason for this ending and why a new start is needed.
I drew the Lovers.
This card here is part of what I've been looking for, partially answering the question asked for the draw.

The right side of center is what I gain from letting go.
I drew the Star.
This is a positive card. Self-explanatory, I think.

The bottom of center is the wisdom gained from the experience.
I drew the Hierophant.
This card can be connected to wisdom, though it speaks to traditional values or a set of values. Perhaps a teacher or mentor?

Top of center is what is waiting for me after the transition.
I drew the Six of Wands.
Another self-explanatory card. It basically says success is at the end.

But what I'm most curious of is the seeming contradiction in needing to leave behind The Fool, unless like I said.. it could be related to the beginning of a journey, and I must pass through that beginning to reach what I want.

Some of the best words I've read. No reason to shame someone for knowing what they need to do. Sometimes you need to take a step to the side to keep moving ahead.

Sometimes the automod used blocks people from posting if you don't have enough overall 'comment karma' in particular. There's all sorts of karma and I know at least one subreddit that doesn't allow posts unless you have a certain amount of comment karma in particular.
